Controller not working

im using a Xbox 360 controller it was working fine now no matter what button i push it dosent detect any input but it works fine on my other games ive done the controller config and deactivated DVR but nothing seems to be working

if i open big picture and enable xbox controller configuration i can do some things but the icons show steam controller icons instead of the usual xbox icons and certain functions don't work properly like heavy attack/parry

What you can do is turn the game off, unplug the controller, plug it back in, turn the game back on, and it should be normal. If not, turn the computer off for a while (I gave it a entire day due to my work schedule), and it should be normal afterward.

go into big picture mode, for honor, manage game, and attempt to configure the controller. it should have a default configuration that doesn't work with half the buttons in the game.

Same here, i played FH this morning, but steam updated at somepoint through the day, now big picture comes up if i plug the controller in while FH is up. all buttons not assigned.

Found a fix just stop being a steam beta client

This will allow them to start documenting the problem and collecting the information we need to investigate and resolve it.
