Shinobi weapon ?
So this is from Ubisoft
"Shinobi (Samurai Assassin) – The Shinobi are silent warriors able to move with a dancer’s grace and kill with precision thanks to a lifetime of disciplined training. They wield the traditional Japanese Kusarigama."
Correct me if i'm wrong. But I think Kusarigama is a sickle (kama) connects with a metal counter weight by chain. Wielder will hold the sickle in one hand, other hand will swing and throw the counter weight. The sickle is used to defend or in close combat situation while the counter weight is a deadly metal ball crushed enemy head, break bone, or disable their weapons. So I don't understand how Ubisoft's shinobi is going to dual-wield 2 Kusarigamas. Ubi must've put some time on research about the weapon they put in the game, right ?

You are correct im wondering how he/she is going to hold two at the same time

Technically a kusarigama would have a kama on one end and a weight on the other end of the chain. Ubisoft are doing some "artistic liberties" with it and basically just making it two kama connected by a chain (or something like that). Because, you know, "ninja" or whatever.

i would like more if was a single kama with a chain.

I would like a lot of things more if Ubisoft did them differently than they actually did them.

Yeah I'm a fan of Kusarigama. So I'm kinda disappointed when I see Shinobi weapon.

Considering the kusarigama is more a dueling weapon than battlefield it's still out of place. But from what I can gather (in game) it's two kama connected by chain which isn't a kusarigama. It hurts me so much to watch anime and ignorant people think you throw the kama end. T_T;;

I'm all for adding the ninja, but wasnt the Assassin filling that role already? So now Samurai will have two Assassins?

It's pretty clear from the inclusion of the Peacekeeper and the fact that the Centurion will use a freaking cestus that Ubisoft gives zero craps about whether or not something was a proper battlefield weapon.

I thought I saw the centurion would use a gladius or spatha, but no shield. It's just a shame because it started out having some semblance of historic combat; albeit very lightly with moderate/high fantasy.

Gladius in one hand, glorified ancient boxing glove in the other. Yippee.

Didn't they say in the Warrior's Den stream that the ninja's Kusarigama was modified, though? I recall them mentioning the chain was also longer than a normal Kusarigama.

Yes Samurai will have two Assassins and Knight will have two Hybrids

Judging from the gameplay teaser. I wouldn't say the chain is longer than a normal Kusarigama. Because a traditional Kusarigama chain is pretty long, at least 3 meters I believe. Some may be even longer.
