Do I need an Ubisoft Account?
So I pre-ordered the gold edition, but I haven't gotten around to starting up the game until just today. When I opened up the game a UPlay launcher came up and said it wanted to bind my season pass and something else to my account, but the account information shown was __USER_NAME__(_MAIL_) because I don't have one. Do I need an Ubisoft account to bind the season pass to, or will I be fine without one? I would like to not accidentally lock myself out of my extra stuff.

Yes mate, I'm pretty sure the Ubi/Uplay account is not optional.

Correct. Says it right on the store page.

"Requires 3rd-Party Account: Ubisoft Account (Supports Linking to Steam Account)"

yeah you need an account just sign up and you'll good to go

All Ubisoft games since 2012 require UPlay.
