Personally I would have left the knockdown but taken away the gliding heavy attack, but I don't get to make decisions about things.
I mainly used the charge as a tool to get turtles to stop turtling and actually fight me, but without the risk of getting punished for getting hit by the charge, that no longer works.
Charge of the Oni isn't supposed to punish turtles (which we know based on the devs' words and actions). And now it doesn't. How one feels about that is another matter, but the pre-patch mechanics of Charge of the Oni (in combination with the rest of how Shugoki works) were pretty clearly beyond abusively broken. Maybe this is the right fix for that. Maybe it isn't (and it isn't like the devs have established a very comforting history of addressing actual problems the right way instead of non-problems the wrong way).
