Story mode reset...? Please?

It was very cool when I first played it, to pick the gender and the looks of the characters through the story, also that progress of the story through the map, but why is this for one time only? The characters have no way to be changed after that and everything is locked the way it was as I progressed for the first time. It's like there is some cool content and customization in the story mode that I can't experience ever. Or there is a way to reset this?

What is the point of character customizations, different voice actors and cool stuff in the story mode, if I can experience only part of it? The only way to redo the story from the scratch is to buy the game again?

As of 2019 has there been any solution to this? Does it at least reset when you beat the final mission? Just downloaded the game and had I known story customization would be a one-time deal (for some reason), I probably wouldn't have bothered. WTH Ubisoft...

Yes please. Ubisoft keep all the story mode save data on their servers for some reason, and are apparently unable to change the data on their own servers. Some people have jumped through ridiculous hoops to try and get an answer on this, and it seems to just be Ubisoft refusing to let us do it for unexplained or nonexistent reasons.

Imagine hiring Jennifer Hale and Liam O'Brien to voice the same character, then not letting you go back to play with the other. That's like telling someone they can only buy pringles or soda at your store, but you'll never be allowed to have both.

No kidding! The server thing is insane but I'm sure they could fix if it they wanted. They clearly intended people to customize including two great voice actors. It can't be THAT much to ask for to go back and change it, even if it means resetting the campaign. (hell, even a warning for new players would be nice) I've freaking had it with this company.

I would like it if you could use the full roster, sans Wu-Lin when playing the Story. Running around as a Cent during the story would be hilarious.

This is really a ridiculous situation. We are talking about a SINGLE PLAYER campaign. With NO option to replay it from the start as new... Who else does this?

Story mode was an afterthought for a multiplayer-focused game. An afterthought made with good efforts, but still an afterthought. If i'm not wrong the characters there don't have their updated movesets, either.

Well it's true that is an afterthought. Something they just slammed together in a rush, while... hiring good voice actors... They had no idea what to do here. They just wanted to look good on paper. "Single player! Coop campaign. Voiced by this and that! 3 faction campaigns" Great! sound good, buy it. Works well? No it doesn't but atleast it gives them the opportunity to advertise the game with it. Still is a complete stupidity that there is NO reset option. that would be the easiest thing to implement.
