The secret to training

When you look at a piece of training equipment you see there is a star rating associated with it. I had thought that those stars referred to the amount of training value an animal got from that equipment. So a four star equipment would give an animal twice as much training value as a two star unit. That is the wrong idea.

When training an animal you start by giving it a one or two star machine and let it train on that until the animal reaches level one in training. Then introduce a level three machine until the animal reaches a higher level. Then put a level four machine in the pen . . . and so one.

I had trouble leveling animals in a mission and I couldn't figure out why the levels would increase even though I had a four star machine in the enclosure. What I should have done is put in a three star machine until the animal reached the next level.
