Eucalyptus? Where the heck is it?
I want to have a Koala enclosure and have no clue where the eucalyptus is located?

I've checked trees, animal food, animal section, grounds, everything, can't find it anywhere.

Any help with that would be marvelous.

(And yes, I Googled, and no, they didn't have anything)

What map are you playing on? I've noticed a lot of items have visibility set by map and the devs weren't...super consistent.

The Australian one. I haven't tried others as freeplay, I've only been playing the tutorial/mission ones so no idea what the go is lol

If you're on the right map or expansion you should find it in the Greenhouse and some plants for it. I use Dino World to get hold of all the items but I think Fantasy also does as well. The Freeplay option in the base game gives you all the animals but not all the items.

There's at least one kind of eucalyptus tree in the plants menu, plus the feeder in the animal device menu. (You'll need to produce eucalyptus in the greenhouse to fill it, though.)
Btw, the icon for the eucalyptus feeder is rather misleading as it looks more like a lemon with a twig and leaves and less like eucalyptus, but maybe that's just my weird perception. :/

Btw, if you decide to use eucalyptus trees to feed your koalas, the beasts will climb up the trees. Very cute indeed.

I've got all the DLC's and I only tried it on the Australian map. I had a greenhouse but it didn't have the option for eucalyptus and I checked all tree types on that map and none of them were eucalyptus. I was on Freeplay. Thanks for the help. Do you know which maps specifically have eucalyptus?

Sounds adorable that they climb the trees. I was on Freeplay mode on the Australian map, I had a greenhouse but it didn't offer eucalyptus and none of the trees were eucalyptus either. Thanks for the pointers. I'm not sure which maps have what items. :/

I don't know exactly which maps have it specifically I'm afraid, and the one I do know is the one I'm playing on in Dino World in Freeplay. All U can remember is it's about halfway down the list, and it's described as 'Thos map almost seems custom made for dinosaur exhibits' and it's absoulute full of Giant Sequoia Trees. Sorry I can't be more help, I'm currently on the way to work and I only got this game and all the expansions recently as well ;).

You probably forgot to check the box that enables you to use everything. If you check the box, absolutely every animal, plant, item (and so forth) from every add-on (as well as all modded stuff) will be available to you.

I just tried checking the map file for australia, but unfortunately, it's encrypted. :(

ETA: Indeed, the map called "sequoiadendron" in the files has eucalyptus enabled as a default. (It's from Dino World...) Unfortunately, I've got no idea what the level is called in the English version, as I'm playing the German one.

Where's the button to tick? Haven't even seen that before or known it was an option.

You're probably playing the main game, not one of the add-ons? If I remember correctly, the check mark is missing there.

Normally, you find it when you start a game and choose the map. There are some options for you to choose from - like starting money, making your animals immortal and, well, making everything available. Take care, though, you need to reset these settings every time you switch to another map in that menu. :/

Cool thanks. You can only play the main game and install the DLCs (I have all the DLCs but obviously to start the game I run the main base game

Ah, so that's different between the newer Steam edition and the older edition that was sold on CD roms. *shrugs*. I've got an icon for each and every "DLC" (formerly they were add-ons). And I only know the old edition, as I've had this for years. So there's no reason for me to buy the game again.

Olympe, where can I find this box to enable everything in the game ? is it in the base game in the main manu? I just bought the game and its, well very little info on how to play ;)

It's not in the base game, unfortunately - but I think in every single extension. It's in the menu where you choose your map. There, you can also set your starting money. And, of course, make everything available, as well as grant immortality to your animals. ;)
