Wildschwein (Wild Pig) BaseGame
Nashornpelikan (White Pelican ) BaseGame
Pronghorn (North American Pronghorn Antelope) BaseGame
Dickhornschaf (Bighorn Sheep) - drawback due to no better mesh being available: horns not enough curved and curled so not really "Bighorn" :-( BaseGame
Truthahngeier (Turkey Vulture) BaseGame
Grizzly - textures only, adds natural colour variants BaseGame + Addon1 if installed
Steller Sealion - more cold resistant than Californian Sea Lion BaseGame + Addon3 if installed
Brautente (Wood Duck) - male / female may change textures in second generation. This is not an oversight but simply cannot be prevented due to game routine Addon1
Kojote(Coyote) Addon1
Steinadler (Golden Eagle) Addon1
StreifenSkunk (Striped Skunk) Addon1
Vielfrass (Wolverine) Addon1
Kanadagans (Canadian Goose) Addon1
Kermodebär ("Ghost Bear") - white variant of brown bear Addon1
Bigfoot ;-) Addon1
Leopardenhai (Leopard Shark) - feeds on sea fruit in nature ! Addon3
Graufuchs (Grey Fox) - the only regularly tree climbing canine ! Addon4
Fuchs (Red Fox) - textures only, adds naturally existing special colour variants Addon4
Seeadler (Bald Eagle) Addon1
Main design including sound and modification of flight behaviour is by me.
CREDIT: Feathers on wings and tail were corrected by Olympe and as we exchanged the best parts of our textures (she got my beak and face) mine should be identical to hers.
But we each stuck to our differing ini scripts (which governs behaviour)
Rotophant (African Elephant) - Texture only. Non mutating colour variant showing an elephant covered with red dust like in African "Tsavo National Park". My first mod for WLP2. The name "Roto" was a joke because "Rot" in German means "red". Looks best when placed on "redearthtexture" (see below)
Basegame + Addon1 if installed
Special 01
Luchs (Lynx) - North America: Mesh rework of Chartreux Cat Domestic Animals
NOTE: This will overwrite the Chartreux Cat since the original mesh had to be used to shorten the tail and adapt the head form. But you will not lose the Chartreux Cat - it has been added as a variant of the normal house cat, which is closer to the truth anyway since the Chartreux IS just a house cat too :-)
Special 02
You are enervated because wolves and dogs do not like to be in hilly terrain while in nature they will not object to that?
I have added 2 modded ini files in a subfolder which will solve your problem!
Important Note: These will overwrite the original files so be sure to backup!

Completely NEW Animal Devices (NO overwriting of original files !)
NATURAL FEEDING (no tending needed, created for free world scenarios)
New objects offering Fish, Meat, Seafood or Salt with natural optics and no need for personnel (though there will be a cost deducted corresponding to the rate of autoregeneration of Meat and Fish). More info in the README.
NATURAL RADIATORS and COOLERS
Both are available in new designs either as stones that can also be jumped over - only for Addon4 - or - if you own Addon3 - as shells which when placed into water will also serve as seafood feeders. These mods will not override the original items, so you can still use the original ones in your zoo.
SCRATCHING BASE: Trees can be placed over it to create "natural" looking scratching action on trees. For proper use see README

Animal Device MODS overwriting original files
Important Note: As these will overwrite the original files be sure to backup everything!
Please also read the included READMEs so you will know how every object is handled correctly!
Anthill: Changes the texture to brown to better blend into woodland and grass
Treehouses: Allows trees to be placed over treehouses for a more natural look. Trees must be placed correctly otherwise animals will be blocked - check README !
Hang (Ropes): Same as Treehouses. Texture is changed to allow better hiding of the object.
Climbtree: Same as Hang
Climbingwall (Addon1 needed): Same as Hang
Fountains: Makes natural fountains buyable in free gameplay (to create lakes, rivers)

The included README will explain in detail how you can get them into your game
glacier non melting snow texture (for creating natural icy environments)

redearthgreengrass 3 variants of red earth as it exists in African savannas
redearthsavanna
Savannagras ini changes ground hardness to 50 which is more pleasing to many animals (NOTE: overwrites original ini so be sure to BACKUP)

PLEASE NOTE:
I am retired as WLP2 creator for a very long time and currently I am also not spending much time on Steam.
So please do not expect me to answer prompty!
I have done my best to write the READMEs in the DL folder as clearly as possible so there should not occur any major problems in transfering the files into your own game.
The mod files have all been used in my own game for a long time in the past, so there should not be any bugs or glitches.
A word of caution: Be careful for installing this, or at least add the modpack afterwards. The grounds from here are already part of the modpack, but adding them will change a file (Wildlife Park 2/Init/groundsurfacemanager). The changes will render some other modded ground types unusable. When in doubt, preserve the file from the modpack, install this packet, then return the groundsurfacemanager file from the other modpack to its original place.
And concerning the "Farm Animals" and the "North America Animals" Compilations my last information was that most of these animals will stay only on my own downloads site - at least those that were not single uploads but came in complete packages.
I usually put a personal "Royalty Free License" (you may not resell, redistribute, or repackage the assets without explicit permission) on all my mods for any game I did mods for but with WLP2 I was always more lax, especially since your compilation was such a great effort and I really appreciated it very much
But you need not worry - my very detailed READMEs included in each download package ask every downloader to check for duplicates before installing and what was in your package when you started to be active here at Steam can stay in there (as long as I am credited at least somewhere) !
It has been a long time since we met at the forum and you have been quite busy since then
I quit posting there because every time staying in the original games forum I caught at least two trojans and one virus (the company not being interested in any upkeeping or moderation any more) and the last virus was so bad that I had to reinstall windows (one of those that skips through even the most efficient firewall due to a hiding mechanism).
No worry there either: I did not add the "groundsurfacemanager file" to the download package but instead included a detailed description how people can find and change this file easily on their own to adapt it to the textures they want! And a warning not to overwrite this file without backup and an explanation what can happen if they use non compatible groundsurfacemanager files from other sources.
I have been off a long time but I am still thorough
Anyway: That´s not a competition. I am just offering things that I thought might not yet be available and I also found out people here have been asking for changes in buildings and decorations. Not much to be offered there, but at least those modified animal devices and 3 "new" plants.
I only found out 14 days ago that WLP2 had come to Steam and I am very happy there is still activity. It is a great game and I think neither WLP3 nor any other zoo game has topped it until now although it is already an oldtimer!
Where credit is missing (oversight by me) is in the plant section. I reworked that thing completely and it must have slipped my mind. It's definitely there in the animals, as well as in the animal devices and grounds (for which I honestly don't remember any restriction). I also don't remember any restriction about the animal packs, but I'm more than willing to take them down. What I do remember is that I created the whole thing from scratch by looking at what modded files I had way after the deepsilver forum went down, so it's possible it happened that way.
If you want me to change any content, please give me until after the first weekend in March - I've got something (flu?) incoming and don't know how active I'll be in the next couple of days.
On another matter, I think WLP 3 is more than getting there - have you looked at all the DLCs yet? Dino Invasion (definitely not my cup of tea due to inaccurate depiction of dinosaurs), Creatures of the Caribbean, Down Under, Alaska, Amazonas and Africa look quite promising, and I've been quite tempted to buy the whole collection (which is way too expensive IMHO) just to try and mod it. Although it also looks like the developers simply took a lot of WLP 2 content and recycled it for WLP 3, including the exact models and textures while adding maybe up to 4 completely new animals to each pack - it's incredibly obvious if you look at the mermaid (model and texture) from the Caribbean pack. It even looks like the developers got inspired by modpack content in some cases - quagga, kudu, emu, cassowary, Hector's dolphin (okay, so I had a subspecies, the Maui dolphin, in the mod), something that looks like it might be a thylacine (=Beutelwolf) do look oddly familiar.
It is just the fact that the upkeeping of that free download space over all these years takes some effort (you know how many WLP2 creations were lost because people did not care about their accounts) so I am happy if I have at least a few visits - one per month is quite sufficient. I do not hunt for high DL numbers!
I had to change my nick because the old one - although primarily used by nobody except me - now has become very common. And I did not want to be "name" number "xyz" at the forums where I registered after my WLP2 times. So here at Steam I use my new nick oh016. But I do not mind the old nick being mentioned in the WLP2 creations. This is me too - only in past times.
I bought WLP3 but although the graphic was great I was so disappointed by those unchooseable rosy and blueish colors the animals sometimes had and by the way the devs had kept some old ennervating game features that I played it never again after a short test.
I think my WLP times are over, I play different games now.
But I still give WLP2 the credit for having been one of my favourite games
But I am happy to see you are still keeping the old flag up and now for WLP3 too!
We did better in german!
So you were practically doing the same as me - offering old stuff ;-)
Last post. BYE and have a great time !
You have to find where the different edition of WLP2 are installed on your computer.
BaseGame
Addon1 = Crazy Zoo
Addon2 = Horses
Addon3 = Marine World
Addon4 = Farm World
Domesticanimals = all folders have names like Initdomesticanimals.
Everything else is explained in detail in the README text.
As an example for you I copied the text from my README "New Animals":
"You need to have Horses, Marine World, Farm World, Dino World, Domestic Animals or Fantasy installed because creating new animals for WLP2 was only possible by using the "backdoor" of colour variations which was added first with Marine World. Does not work if Main Game or Crazy Zoo are the only installed editions.
The core scripts are hard locked and do not allow for new species to be added nor can meshes be modified without destroying the looks of an already existing animal (see Lynx).
How to add modded animals easily:
Check if you have the Addon in question and then pull ALL folders (Audio, Cast, Init) with that Addons number to where you have found the original folders with the same name.
When you are asked if you want to integrate the new folders into the existing one click "Yes". The new content will be added without risk to your already existing content.
All files included in this "animals" folder will change NOTHING in the original game files so you are on the safe side!
(NOTE: I have put all overwriting files in special folders so please check on the other folders READMEs !)
ATTENTION: To make new animals and textures available on a free map you must click „all available“ when chosing the map!"
End of README
If this explanation sounds too difficult to you perhaps you can find some friend or family at home to help you with doing it on your computer!
Good Luck!
Since you are probably the only person that created a new animal with different than original mesh, I'm wondering if you would be OK with sharing a know-how of how to achive this. I would be interested in putting some time to create some additional animals but have no idea where to start.
