Animal Variant and Decor mods?

I Like playing this game, but the lack of Variety in the decor options and the Lack of Animal color and pattern variants is bugging me. Are there any mods to improve this? and if so, how do i use them?

There's a thread about it with download links for German and English. Each folder has its own README file with instructions.

It's quite easy to retexture animals (and sometimes creating a new species that way), but there's absolutely no way to add variety to decor or plants.
