If you're actually interested, though, I could create this kind of modded "liger" for you. You'd only be able to buy male lions and female tigers, and they'd breed to create ligers. I know I have a couple of liger textures somewhere, too...
And, yes, it's pretty easy to do. I'll simply add the Liger as a new animal where you'll only be able to buy male lions and female tigers - and have to wait for them to mate in order to get a liger. Regular lions and regular tigers will still work as usual.
ETA: Done!

I haven't tested this yet, so any and all feedback is welcome.
In order to uninstall, simply remove the liger.ini from your game again. (You'll find it in WildlifePark2 => Init => Animal.) There's some content that's just graphics (liger skin in high, medium and low plus the button), but that doesn't exactly bother your game in any way, so you can keep it inside.
However, there's really no need for you to uninstall this as it won't change any content from your actual game - it simply adds the liger. So, simplest solution: Don't want it, don't buy it.
I'm 100% certain the folders/files are in the correct place. I mod Skyrim a lot and I know where to find the right folders once I see the file structure. And your description was so clear, I can't have placed it wrong even if I wanted to (tho for me the path is on my G partition hehe)
EDIT: ah you just posted. My apologies, of course I did not know you were a woman ;)
2nd, the animals are ordered by price, and the liger costs 25,000 apiece. Maybe you simply overlooked it?
3rd, and that just *might* be the issue - usually, I put my modded animals' ini-files into the MW-folder (InitAddon3/Animal), but used Init/Animal this time. Try moving the liger.ini to the other folder maybe?
4th, it most assuredly doesn't have anything to do with the language, as all files save the language, text and audio files are the same for all languages. And I most assuredly didn't touch either of those.
5th, I just looked over the .ini-file of the liger, and found that, indeed, "buildoption" is in there, which should enable you to buy the darn animal - unless you're playing a mission or don't have everything enabled, as mentioned under first.
The placement of the ini file sounds like a likely culprit tho
I just checked another thing. I do have a couple of modded animals in the original Init folder, and the animal works with the DLC, at least. (I used Fantasy/Ultimate Edition, but I've used Horses, Farm World and the Diamond Edition and Marine World before, and they all allowed me to play "my" animals, so that's not it.
Oh, and just another thing. Since crossbreeding doesn't always work out, I gave the ligers lower fertility. On the plus side, you'll be able to purebreed them, which isn't possible in real life. It's just how the game works.
I uh... kinda... uh... you know uh... never checked the 'all build options available' button :P because i never knew if i wanted to research the dinos or buy them just like that. But yeah. The ligers work :P I first tried it in Fantasy, but in that one I get weird black squares in the distance. Probably because I tweaked the default settings (my computer, though it's a laptop, should be able to handle everything no problem). So I went back to the main game, checked for that checkbox, ticked it, fired up the game and voila. Ligers available :P Just no capital 'L', but that's probably in the ini and if the ini determines the name, I can change it to the Dutch name, too.
Only problem now is that in my current park I dont have that checkbox ticked, so no ligers there. Though... Ive only just started that one and I'm about 2 years in... so playing that from scratch isnt very bothersome.
And then there's these 2 things:
- If you drop them close to each other, it's quite funny to see how large a male lion is compared to a female tiger (i previously has quite a distance between their exhibits)
- Thanks to you 'showing' me the ini files, I was able to increase the purchase price for some animals I thought were too cheap, so ty ;) Only I increased the dragons so much (5 billion) that they currently show up as -1, so I'm going to fix that now :P
Thank you for this! Haven't had them mating yet, this was just a quick test, but I will do that soon. The pure breed thing is kinda nice, even if it's not realistic.
