Crosswind

Crosswind

At this point it has to be an industry running joke that they don't get we don't want an online pirate game
They HAVE to get it at some point... We want a good single player pirate game

Honestly? These guys are building for the first times something that get really close to what personally I wanted. If this game will turns out to be a Valhaim twin but with options where you can trade, be a pirate, explore, build, play alone or with friends, I'm totally into the fact it has also an online aspect.
I was intrigued by this until i saw the suvival crafting ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

With Crosswind, we're trying to bridge that gap a bit.

While yes, it’s online and has multiplayer elements, the core experience is fully playable solo. You’ll have your own world, your own progression, and your own adventures—no one’s going to mess with your base or hijack your ship. So it's like Valheim with sails and sabers than a forced online sandbox.

We hear the call for immersive, single-player-friendly pirate experiences—and we’re doing our best to chart a course somewhere in between.

Appreciate your feedback!

Thanks for the clarification, that does sound more appealing. The steam page and tags definitely make it seem like an online only game with single player option which is not ideal. Sea of thieves did that and it's pretty terrible. Maybe the MMO tag needs to go unless it actually is MMO
plz make atlas 2.0

Hey man respect for answering, just have some PVP on land and on ships for some high(ish) stakes loot, etc however you choose to do that and I think ppl will be happy, at least I would be. :)
I haven't played a good pirate game since Treasure Island in the late 80's on the c64 :avgn:
Its crazy that Sid Meier's Pirates! from the 80's is still the gold standard for Pirate games.

Dont please the ' anti social' players to much, whats with all these ppl who just wanna play everything all by their lonesome lol......

Dont forget about pvp.,,,if its not open world pvp, make good pvp zones ( if i read correctly there will be) . Some nice ranking systems and some cool Pirate arena's like Charachter vs charachter and ships vs ships modes would be awesome.

All pvp matters....O_)(_O
You can replay AC 4 : Blackflag then !
What would be the point in making a pirate game if it wasn't MMO ?

Only thing I hope is them not ruining this with gacha or pay-to-win mechanics or irrealistic weapons, ships or cosmetics like Ubi did with Skull'n Bones

SoT is an ok game. the amount of cheaters on it kills it, then you got to add on microsoft being anticonsumer and revoking players rights to play. (in my case, my account was compermised. microsoft admited they can see my account was stolen from me, but instead of returning the account... they deactivated it and told me to buy all my games again. never getting a microsoft game again)
