what i DID find during those travels was that gliders have a maximum flight time of 3 minutes, as i fell to an embarrasing death.
Just so you know, this game was designed as a sandbox MMO, not a themepark as you seem to be accustomed to.
There are other quests to be done, but the reason they didn't require main storyline quests past Silent Forest is because the zone you go to next is on the other faction's continent in a PVP zone.
In a game with open PVP at all times across faction, imagine the potential for trolling. It already happens on non-story quests...
side note, if you want to have an end boss that people want to kill, don't announce every hour or so that it's arrived, and then been killed. don't put it on every last loading screen so it loses all its mystery factor, either. really uninspiring.
The second is AFTER killing... I forget his name (not logged in at the moment). You are actually given another quest to help another player with the same quest. You do NOT need to do that other one (it's purely optional). The storyline quest then continues into Silent Forest at the wood cutter's camp.
After that, the story "ends". I say "ends" because you have to remember that is the end of your character's "personal" story. The whole area still has quests and other objectives that are part of the world's story, which the ending (trying not to spoil here) does mention that the quest you just finished is NOT the end.
I don't recall any of the Harani storyline quests happening in the Mahedavi ports (one of which gives you the rowboat). They all seemed situated in Two Towers. If you have't killed the 'person in Villenelle (hint: it's two bosses)' then you missed something.
As for the end boss notifications... the Abyssal event is barely an end boss and isn't the Leviathon you see in the loading screen. Once you hit level 45+ and can find a good raid, the event is a blast depending on your server, owner of a boat or not.
I haven't uninstalled it yet, but probably will...
I'd like to hear an answer from the devs about this.
the long and the short of it is that the endgame isn't for everyone, and if it's not for you, there's nothing wrong with going and playing something that is. 'cus games are for fun.
