ArcheAge

ArcheAge

Game Won't Start
I run the game (via Steam); Glyph runs (which I have for a couple of other games); ArcheAge is displayed with the PLAY button; I push the button... it asked for an Admin Password (which I provide) and then nothing. No error messages... No Loading... No Loading Screen... Nothing. Sometimes (though Not always) the cursor spins as if thinking for about 2 to 5 seconds... but then back to nothing.

Any ideas???

Advanced Thanx!!!

a loading screen will show up behind the glyph launcher, it doesnt show up on the task bar or anything so maybe your just not seeing it?

That could, of course, be the case; but even still the game isn't launching.

I had issues with the game launching through steam a while back. I recommend just continuing through glyph. That is what I did to solve the problem.

Is the process still running?

I may not be understanding what you mean... but if I do understand: I went to the Steam Directory for ArcheAge and found the Glyph Client Application and ran it. The Glyph launcher opened for ArcheAge with the PLAY button, but I got the same results as noted above. But again... I'm not sure if that's what you meant.

Again... in hopes I'm understanding your question: The Glyph Process (Launcher) continues to run; However... the Game itself never runs. Just in Case; I viewed the Task Manager after pressing the PLAY button, just to see if I caught anything running ... even for a moment .. but still nothing.

I'm sorry. I should have been more specific. What I meant was that I downloaded Glyph launcher from their website and ran it completely disconnected from steam all together.

I hadn't consided that; I'm trying it now. It's a 3 hour download... so Crossed Fingers.

But until then... Major Thanx!!! and Double Thanx if it works - LOL :).

:`( Any other ideas :(

I installed Glyph... installed ArcheAge... and I still get nothing. Just in case... I re-started my system... didn't run Steam, and tried again. The Glyph Launcher runs fine... I get the PLAY button for ArcheAge... but once I push play.... nothing happens.

Not sure if it makes a difference... and it really shouldn't; but I am running Windows 10.

So... any other suggestions?

I have no idea what the issue is at this point. I have Windows 10 too; That isn't the problem. Maybe hardware? IDK. Maybe you have to uninstall all version of Archage and reinstall. GL

I did try uninstalling and reinstalling (twice actually... just in case).

I've opened a ticket with Glyph... so hopefully they'll have a solution.

But Big Thanx for Your time and Effort!!! THANX!!!!:steamhappy:

No problem. Hope you get it figured out~

You're probably running an anti virus program that has the option to enable "gaming mode" if so, do that. If I remember correctly the glyphlauncher is very sensitive to certain anti virus programs.

You could also try disabling your anti virus. Hope you get it working !

I have the same problem. Did yours get fixed?

Sadly No... :( and other than a confirmation that the ticket was opened, I haven't heard back from Glyph Tech Support.

I NEVER turn off my Anti-Virus to run a game (and niether should anyone... EVER). If you need to unprotect your computer to run a game... then you should really ask yourself... how important is this game??? But that's just my Paranoid opinion. :)

I don't seem to have that mode... or, at least, I can't find it. However... I do currently have 2 other Glyph games which I'm able to run with no problems. I do appreciate the input however... every bit helps :). Thanx!!!
