But not sure if that'll solve your problem, since it seems like your character is just constantly falling through the ground. You can try sending a support ticket in through Glyph (at the launcher, click Account, then click Help, then Submit a Request at the top after you've signed in). Or send an email to support@trionworlds.com.
Though, because Trion (the publisher) recently got sold, their support staff might take a while to get back to you. Worst case, you could try a fresh reinstall in case any files got corrupted.
What I need is for a GM or representative of the company to move my character's physical location above ground, although after all the hours I already wasted just trying to play the game, I'm not sure it's even worth it, at this point.
I've been told that I might be able to get a GM by talking in Nation Chat... but you can't use any Chats other than Local or Whisper until your lv15, and I can't exactly earn experience while stuck underground. I even tried whispering to people in Nation Chat for help, but the community hasn't been very helpful.
I was hoping to be able to try this game during its exp event, wish someone would help me, because it's looking like this game isn't worth playing, if this is going to be a regular bug that prevents me from playing :/

As you can see, I literally cannot start the questline, because there is NO FLOOR at the beginning of the game for me. Relogging does not fix this, and this is why I keep falling underneath the map each time I respawn. I have no idea how to fix this.
Until I get some response, I guess I'm stuck in the noob area, killing those robots, because I can't seem to accept new quests, until I turn in my first quest :/
At least I can level now? :(
You've figured it out already but swimming to the sea or contacting a GM is how you deal with it.
Well, as you've noticed, the problem isn't that you're stuck under the ground. The problem is that you keep falling through, which is a glitch with the map collision. This game has a mix of client-side/server-side verifications, which is why I suggested a fresh reinstall to cover all your bases.
Though, I can see why you'd be hesitant to do that, downloading 40GB+ again isn't exactly ideal (especially if it's not guaranteed to fix your issue).
No, this is a glitch that happens to everybody. Reinstalls won't do anything.
Its bad luck.
Since I couldn't turn in that first story quest, basically all future quests (if there were any?) could not be taken. As a result I had to spend 3 hours fighting the robots until I finally was strong enough to grind out on the foxes and plants for another 3 hours.
It wouldn't have been a big deal, except that the reason it took so long was because the dumb RNG bags kept giving me axes, bows and swords. At around lv14, I finally got staff and farmed until lv16, since the experience event was ending by the time I got the game working, but I haven't really had the desire to go back, since I'm basically lose and don't know where the next "grind area" is.
It's kind of unfortunate, because I had originally made a human sorcerer, because I had assumed my friend was a human like the last MMO we played, but later they told me they were Haruna. The other alliance's starting area was way more fun. No glitches, lots of monster type with very little walking, and a ton of quests, although I did crash during those beginner cutscenes for whatever reasons.
The Warborn starting area was boring by comparison, I had to literally walk for like five minutes to get anywhere, and I couldn't get a mount, because the guy who completed the quest was located back in the area where there was no ground for me.
Anyway, I gave it a try, maybe I'll come back to it later again, if my friend bugs me about it, but considering I still haven't gotten word from Support about my situation, I'm pretty sure that character's questline is permanently ruined and I don't feel like deleting it, waiting a week, and starting all over again.
