Am i the only one?

This is my experience so far. Love the game 100%, but while playing my ALT + TAB Steam Window will randomly pop up and i cant get rid of it unless i quit the game to desktop and reload Archeage. I wouldn't think this is a Archeage issue moreso being a bug Steam could outright fix. So here I am.


Am i the only one? my friends also play this game and they downloaded through the site itself to get the Glyph launcher app and dont have this issue.

you mean shift tab? idk i have problem of shift tab not working, but running steam as admin fixes it, so maybe try that?

yeah, Shift Tab. it randomly will just pop up and not go away. i can still play Archeage in the background, i just dont know what im clicking on.

I just play the game straight from the launcher because I had so many issues with running through steam in the past. This option requires you to uninstall and redownload from the website directly using Glyph. Up to you, but it would immediately fix the problem.

No once you make the account even through steam it is still a glyph account. So as long as you remember your sign in credentials you should be fine.

For some reason the steam overlay is not fully intergrated. so yes the window pops up but your mouse still interacts with the game. Thus not being able to buy credits via steam....So not getting credit for purchases being made directly from the glyph store.

Has this been happening to anyone?

i havent been trying to make purchases...just yet, the window just randomly pops up when i game, but i appreciate the response and ill install through the launcher itself.

That's a common issue, especially with weaker computers. You accidentally open it and your ram can't handle it.

i know the key combination to open the menu, and i DEFINITELY am NOT pressing it. it isn't me. i just downloaded it off the launcher and lost my character. not gonna play now.

It's very likely considering the game has tab-targetting.

that's fine tbh, but i know what keys im pressing. i dont smash my keyboard to game. i gave up on the game so there's that. thanks for the comments.

You can kill the procces (gameoverlayui.exe) in task manager to get rid of the overlay, no need to restart the game. You can also disable the overlay by right clicking ArcheAge in the Steam library, going to properties and unchecking "Enable the Steam overlay while in-game."
