Viable PVE builds?
Not really set on a type of character, but mostly pve oriented for questing.

So many old guides, nothing really that helps..

Used to play hexblade a long time ago.

Been looking at soloish builds with heals/mana regen. But again most information and builds are way outdated

Most are still valid i think, the game didn't change that dramatically. Hexblade still good, as long as you have baleful recharge.

If its done around Auramancy / Witchcraft / Defence it should work for any pve. I would add battlerage too, since you will not only solo most pve, but be a shield user / tank as well which is what everyone is always in need for dungeons. Sorcery and Archery would make you a dps and those are a dime a dozen.

Been looking for something along the lines of a little self heal/mana efficiency for leveling/grinding.

Something along the lines of Combat skill (battlerage or stealth [less dps]) with vitality (mostly instant cast self heals) and witchcraft (little bit of cc with the mana regen)

Vitalism pulls you more towards other stats and weapon / armor sets (paladin/dervish), and would require weapon swapping. You'd have to look into healing power etc, i wouldn't put that into "efficient".

Abolisher seems efficient (has heals and mana regen), hexblade too, sorcery with witchcraft is efficient.

Hmm, thinking of sorcery/witch/? for something different.

debating shadowplay as the third, looked at defense... but would likely be using staff and most of defense needs the shield.

Defense would make for Cabalist, which is pretty nice too, a good "efficient" build. Mages need a shield for later stuff. Most mobs hit for physical damage and any pvp hard hitter will two shot you without it.

You'd have defensive capabilities, heals, and plenty of mana recharging in baleful. Shadowplay is more pvp oriented and doesn't bring much in the sense of sustained, long pve grinding.
