Originally the classes we could choose as a starting class were Battlerage, Sorcery, Archery, Vitalism, and Occultism. With the 3.0 update Occultism was removed from the initial class selection.
Personally it's a good change as well - Occultism has alwasy been more of a supportive skill tree when compared to the other initial choices, and just doesn't make sense to have that early on.
I never played the game, but saw on Wiki page that Witchcraft was a class at some point.
Also, are there any summoning classes? :D
There's no summoning class per se, however Witchraft has a "Summon Fiend" skill, and you're able to make use of a battle pet during combat (which can be healed with the proper vitalism skill).
