Can someone actually explain how to farm gold?
There seems to be a huge, massive lack of guides for how to efficiently gain gold.

One of the guides I've seen two or three times is to buy un-enchanted gear from a merchant, enchant it, then sell it back. However out of ~40 or so tries of resetting without saving, only once has it made a tiny profit.

So overall, not a good strategy at all. So then, what is a good one?

Fishing in the deepest dungeon floor you have gotten to with water. I believe 100 is the max needed to achieve the best results from fishing. You can occasionally fish up yellow items, which can sell for gobs of gold. Especially if you are on higher difficulties and at deeper floors, the yellows you reel in will often be elite or legendary variant which significantly multiplies the sale value.

Yeah, fishing's the way to go for farming gold. With regards to the enchanting strategy you mentioned, I expect that would be more viable at later levels, as the power of enchantments (and the price of those enchanted goods) increase as you level up while the enchantment cost stays flat.

Enchantment:
Depends on character LV and is reflected in price
Low Lv character = no high mod = low sale value

As a rule of thumb, you can start earning around lvl 13.
A full backpack at lvl 13 earns several hundred thousand dollars.
Around lvl 30-40, several million
Millions to tens of millions at lvl 50
Purchase and enchanting time is only a few minutes, so it is more efficient than fishing.

Methods
1: Buy expensive normal items at the store.
2: Stop enchanting after successful enchantment, but socketing does not count.
Sell value expensive: socket + unique (multiple mods attached)

If you are high level, that does sound very convenient compared to spending quite possibly hours fishing. To paint a clear picture though, some of the Legendary yellow items you can fish up at floor 100+ in the first dungeon(which I have gotten to at lvl 15 ish) can sell for 3-5 million gold each. Fishing in town the highest value item I have found is 380k ish. Fishing in floor 1 of the dungeon sees an immediate jump to items of 800k to 1.2m.

personally i like investing into Chance of getting magical item gems as the first thing i do i try to be atleast 70% but will go up to 105% with 7-15% gems not sure if theres a cap or not but this is how i do it.

ones you have enough % literally almost everything will drop with better raritys. I always keep a bunch of brown books on me fill up my pets inventory use brown book on everything and send ur pet to town.

Currently have 90% on my current hardcore mode build recently found 2 gem ages gems each selling for 256,250 x)
