Do I need to buy all the games?
Hi,

Weird question, do I need to buy all the FATE games to get all the content (ie like Titan Quest and Immortal Throne), then play off one game? Or can I skip some of the releases because the same content is available in later releases. I read some stuff about bundles (which are now out of date) and I am a little confused.

I read similar threads but the English and wording in them confused me a tad.

In order to get all the content, you only need to buy FATE: The Traitor's Soul, and FATE: The Cursed King. The Traitor's Soul contains all dungeons from the original FATE and Undiscovered Realms, plus a new dungeon. The Cursed King has a completely new town called Ekbatan which I think has 4 new dungeons.

I can't wait till this goes on 75% special. I am low on funds, and loved Torchlight. I also have Torchlight 2, but will play that later in the year with my son.

FWI, The Traitor Soul TECHNICALLY doesn't let you do the main quest from the original Fate, but the dungeon and Grove is still accessable; I am pretty confident you won't be missing out on anything.

By the way , what is Torchlight like? I've heard a lot about it from Fate players.

Torchlight is one of my favorite all time games. It is really similar to Diablo, but also feels like an isometric World of Warcraft. It takes about 10-15 hours to finish the game on hard level, but I eventually played it on the hardest level and put lots of mods, so it added loads of replayability. In the end I did about 150 levels of dungeons and played around 130 hours of the game.

I loved it.

I believe the Torchlight devs made Fate? now one more question i have played from Fate through Torchlight 2 prob 700 hours lol but i just got Traitors Soul.. i love the simplicity of just enjoying myself and looking awesome :) the Cursed King has a NPC party you get to run with is that the biggest difference was it alot more fun?

Im yet to play Fate, but yes some guys that made Torchlight were also part of the FATE team. I heard also people who made diablo and World of Warcraft had a hand in it. I haven't played TL2 yet, I will play that with my son when school goes on a break.
