Wildtangent Fix for Fate on Win 10

any clue as to why they refuse to update the game on steam? they could easily add an update to fix the game and then people like me who don't have it yet who are wanting it but refuse to buy it because it does not work would buy it and they would be making more money off of the game. if I have to go to a website to make a game work on steam it is a no sale.

Not a clue as to why Wildtangent has not fixed/updated its Steam version. There could be a lot of reasons. The 2 big ones I can think of is they are having issues with Steam and its rules/ policies or Windows 10 is just to much of a pain to work with, but that’s just my opinion.

The game is still playable and fun and the fix is very easy to apply.

Oh by the way. Unfortunatly when Steams has a large update, install new video driver or I mess with the game video setting and crashes, I have to reapply the fix.

Can confirm, it works for me. Not sure why the finger pointing's at WildTangent. It was directly stated to be a strange problem with Windows freaking out about a minimum resolution. Seems like Microsoft is doing the damnable practice of trying to force "legacy free" software, and this is another casualty of that.

UPDATE: Yes, the game runs, but if the minimap comes up, the game suddenly starts rendering to it and only it. Suddenly the entire game is reduced to the itty bitty minimap window with a "snapshot" of the last frame before opening it filling up the rest of the screen. It will stay this way until you exit the game.
