Super confused by the hub world
I have never played any fate games before, I bought only The Traitor Soul. Which portal do I go in to start the very beginning of the whole series? And the book in the middle...I can select any of the three games in the series but nothing seems to change in the hub world when I switch games...what is going on here??

AFAIK the only way to get into the two other towns linked to the hub world is to reach level 20 in Grove then buy an amulet that teleports you (they have 10 charges). Even when I have a quest for one of the other towns, the portal for that town won't let me in and says "you don't have a quest for that area" or something like that.

You can do the different dungeons in any order. You need to complete the master quest in all the dungeons except for the Town of Grove. Playing there just allows you play in the dungeon from the first game and isn't a required aspect in beating the final boss. The forest portal leads to the Outpost of Druantia and the ice portal leads to the Outpost of Typhon. These are both towns that have a dungeon entrance in the town. The blue portal leads to the Town of Grove. In each town there is a fountain that acts as a portal back to the Temple of Fate. The red portal leads to the Chamber of Trials, which will lead you directly into a dungeon without going through a town first. This dungeon is harder than the other dungeons. I recommend the following order. Druantia, Typhon, Chamber of Trials. Once all of these dungeons are completed, you will be able to access the Master Dungeon, and battle the final boss. You also have a chest in each of the towns that you can use to store items. All items in the chest are shared between realms(think of it as an Ender Chest in Minecraft). In regard to the book in the middle, it just plays the opening sequences from the first games and it isn't important.

THIS GAME IS A SEPARATE GAME FROM THE OTHER TWO. IT IS NOT AN ADD ON TO THE OTHER GAMES. THIS GAME JUST HAS THE SAME WORLDS AS THE OTHER TWO WITH A NEW DUNGEON ADDED.
