Thank you for reaching out, sorry to hear you have had trouble with sound cutting out despite your troubleshooting.
You advised it is happening in another game also that is not a Ubisoft game. For this reason, can I check if you continue to have trouble if you use an alternative audio output?
Should this then persist, would it be possible to advise what audio sources you use?
Many thanks
I have also tried using my wireless headset which connects via a usb dongle and bluetooth. The audio still cuts out.
I have tried running the game at its lowest graphical quality, I would say the issue is less severe, but it is still there and very annoying.
I do not believe this is a hardware issue, or a driver issue. Or surely it would happen in all games?
It doesn't happen in other Assassin's Creed games I have. I will try a reinstall.
So you know I uninstalled from my games SSD and installed in my OS SSD...
There is stilll audio stutter but it is as yet not as bad, dare I say playable. However it should not be there! It is present on low settings as well as ultra. I tried disabling and unplugging all uneccessary peripherals, programs and processes too!
I tried installing on my Steam deck and it works fine there.
Any ideas?
It's good to hear there is progress in this issue.
This can be a drivers issue. The level of graphics setting in the game does not affect the audio.
Make sure you update drivers to your integrated audio codec on your motherboard.
Check all other updates for the motherboard too. Perhaps you are running a very old BIOS?
You didn't mention what operating system you are using, except for "System type 64-bit operating system"
If you are using a Windows OS, type WinVer in the Start menu and press Enter to check your Windows version and build or go to Windows Settings > System > About and check Windows specifications information.
These are my specs.
