Game Can't Launch Past Splash Screen
Hey everyone,

I've tried many different fixes to try and get this game to launch, however it refuses to get past the initial splash screen. Below are the fixes I tried:

-Disabled all 3rd party Software (ie. Razer Synapse)
-Ran /sfc
-Forced DX11 and 12 through the console command
-Launched the game from Explorer
-Launched the game in Admin mode (Both on Steam and Explorer)
-Launched the game in Compatibility mode (Both Win 7 and 8)
-Launched through Offline mode
-Launched the game through Ubisoft Connect
-Launched the game with Ubisoft Connect closed
-Disabled ALL syncing in Ubisoft Connect (Including the in-game overlay)
-Cleared the Ubisoft Connect Cache
-Installed the newest NVIDIA drivers
-Checked if the game is allowed through Windows Firewall
-Disabled my VPN
-Restarted my PC and Cold Booted my PC
-Verified the integrity of game files
-Reinstalled the game on different drives

At this point, I literally have no other idea what to do, my PC specs should not be an issue, but will list them below:
i7-8700k
GTX 1070
64gigs DDR4 @3200
4 monitors (I read in one thread that multiple monitors is a struggle for a Ubi game, (Which is a very strange problem if true) listing it here just to cover everything

Any help would be much appreciated, I'm super close to just refunding the game but weirdly I also don't want to give up trying yet. Thanks!

you could try looking up the game on pcgamingwiki.com and deleting all the startup videos mentioned in their essential fixes section

that boots the game quicker, and it might be a problem with the videos playing or something

other things you can try and making sure that ubisoft connect is loaded fully before trying to play the game.

make sure ubisoft overlay is off (i sometimes find that overlays can mess with steams overlay)

and try and see if only one monitor works. disconnect the others temporarily. just to remove that from the equation

---UPDATE---
After two hours of trying every possible solution I decided to make a clean installation of Windows 11 and now the game works. I don't know what Windows setting was preventing the game from running, but reinstalling Windows fixed it.

---ORIGINAL POST---
Same problem here : (

My specs are Ryzen 7800X3D + RTX4090 + 32GB

I tried all suggested solutions and some weirder ones found on Youtube regarding this same problem, nothing worked. My PC is correctly optimized and updated and I play a ton of new AAA games, I just finished Space Marines 2 and Silent Hill 2 for example. I even played Avatar Steam Version without problems.

Hello Brickblocks.

Sorry to hear it Assassin's Creed Mirage does not launch on your PC.

I can see you have done quite an extensive troubleshooting already.

You hardware is definitely enough to lunch the game, so it's not the issue here.

You mentioned disabling 3rd party apps from the background. I just want to make sure that would include additional overlays like GeForce Experience, Overwolf and Discord.

Also, are the game and Ubisoft Connect installed on the system C drive?
If not, please test it.

The 4 screens you mentioned you have, I cannot tell you if that is the issue or not, I cannot even test it myself, as I do not have 4 screens.
Please try disconnecting 3 of them for a test.

Are all of them the same resolution and DPI settings in Windows?
(Scale and Layout setting in Display settings). Make sure they have all set 100%.

What is the Windows version you are using?
(type WinVer in the Start menu and press Enter)

Thanks, I tried that but that did not work :(

Interesting, I'm glad that worked for you! I would love to try that myself actually but Windows 11 won't install on my hardware because it's "too outdated". Maybe I should get around to force installing it anyways as Win 10 support ends next year lol.

Hello!

Yes, Ubisoft Connect is installed on C, monitor disconnecting did not work, as far as screen resolution my main monitor is 1440p @165hz, the other 3 are all at 1080p @144hz.

Winver: Win 10 22H2 (OS Build 19045.5011)

Ultimately, I do have a Steam Deck and I installed it on that and it does boot. If I have to, I could just play it on that. Thanks for the help anyways! If I find a solution, I'll be sure to post it here to help others who may be having the same issue.

Thank you for your reply, Brickblocks.

Sorry to hear it that nothing helps you so far, but I'm glad you can play the game on your Deck, at least.

As for Windows 10, I would not blame it here. The game works just fine on Windows 10, tested on my own PC.

There must be something else.

Do you overclock or undervolt your GPU or CPU? If yes, please reset the voltage to default settings for a test?

What is the date of your BIOS?
Perhaps it's way to old compared to the system and drivers?

You can find it in the System Information - just type "system" in the start menu.
Sorry, I completely forgot to respond to this message earlier!!

No, I do not under/over volt my CPU/GPU, only thing that my 1070 does is overclock itself since its an evga sc 1070.

Bios version is as follows:
American Megatrends Inc. 2801, 2021-01-13

Yeah my BIOS is pretty out of date, but I never really considered it too much of an issue, I've only ever updated the BIOS once in my mobos lifetime.

Не знаю актуально ли, но мне помогло следующее. В аргументы запуска в юплее я ввел следующую команду: w1280 -h720 Цифровые значения, разрешения вашего экрана. Все заработало как часы

Hey Brickblocks,

I would still recommend checking for a newer BIOS version, simply because you are running newer software - Windows, drivers, etc. Four-year-old BIOS may cause issues.

I'm not insisting this is the reason the game does not work on your PC, just to be clear.

Try re-installing Visual C++ 2022 redistributable x86 (not x64).
Check DPI scaling in Windows.

With more then one monitor, it's probably better to change the DPI scaling in the game exe file directly.

Locate the game exe file - depends where your Steam is installed - and then:
Right click > Properties > Compatibility > Change high DPI Setting > Override high DPI
