which game should I get?

Origins or Mirage. Depends on if you want standard AC or the newer AC style, which Origins is imo the best for.

Btw I'm only saying Origins is the best of the new ones because I like style and setting. It's honestly personal preference. Compared to the other games, it does feel a bit better, but mostly it's because I think it's cooler.

I know Mirage got a boost in parkour, but I think Odyssey and Valhalla have simplified mechanics? is it the same in Origins?

I know Mirage got a boost in parkour, but I think Odyssey and Valhalla have simplified mechanics? is it the same in Origins?

They were more combat focused, so simplified parkour and stealth makes sense (been a while since I played, so forgive my poor memory)

It would have taken me to watch hundreds of review essays about AC which are 1 hour long just to get the opinion that Origins is hailed as the better one from the new gen, Mirage being start of a new gen ofc

Quick summary:

- Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla are not real Assassin's creed games, they are grindy RPG games with microtransactions, they were specifically inspired by Witcher 3 (which isn't grindy, nor does it have microtransactions).

- Mirage is kinda a real Assassin's creed game going back to the roots of being an assassin.

More info:

- in Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla, you have to grind basic side missions (they kinda force you to) for higher a level to be able to beat the main missions, they did this so you buy the microtransactions to speed up the process and they can last up to 100 hours with all of the busy work and DLC (specifically Odyssey and Valhalla). - Mirage is a straight forward assassin game, no grinding, no microtransactions, it's more grounded in reality than the other RPG AC games and it last about 15-20 hours https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MM_i0beei0Q

So it depends what you want, an RPG game or an assassin game.

Bad decision. I think Mirage brings the essence of the real AC vibe. Best ac game since unity.
