It's the best that being an Assassin has been in a long time in this franchise, after like five years of ignoring that core concept
Add the smaller map focused on a detailed city designed for parkour (even if the parkour mechanics themselves were sadly not great) rather than large empty wilderness and deserts, doesn't take 150 hours to complete, this game actually felt like Assassin's Creed
I ended up actually buying the game outright rather than playing over a couple of Ubisoft+ months like I did with Valhalla
But in contrast, all that is exactly why newer fans who are into this solely for the historical tourism and don't care about the Assassin part wouldn't like it
Point being that I like the newer three a lot better, tho some more stealth would be cool. It's on my wishlist, but my backlog got longer at xmas.
Excellent game. Well worth $90, if you are intelligent and well-educated enough to realize that you are presented with a 3D model of a city/world, and a ton of cultural and historical information.
I fear that all of that hard-work was invested, but not appreciated by the bulk of the under-educated players.
As to the amount of stealth, you are free to do TONS of stealth in this game, if you choose, as you were in Valhalla, Odyssey, and more. There are many achievements centered around stealth. Not being FORCED to do stealth does not prohibit you from being stealthy. I had a big-time in Valhalla hiding in hay-wagons, popping out, and putting an arrow in the heads of various guards. Laughing my butt off the entire time. I also released the animals and climbed up high. HILARIOUS!! No such possibilities here, sadly.
I hate the throwing knives. I loved the bows. You can hide in haystacks here and toss throwing knives at guards.
I am also a fan of the newer-style AC games. They are 500 times more sophisticated. These involve more research and larger 3D models of even entire lands. As someone, who remembers CAD before AutoCAD, I know to appreciate the work that goes into building those models. Also, I was a Senior Technical Writer for FARO 3D Software. Horrible employer, but fascinating products - laser scanners and software. We had the only 3D model of Notre Dame when it burned down.
Also, Ubisoft stopped the practice of deleting accounts a few years ago, when they got their butts into a legal sling. I would ignore people, who are illiterate regarding their own mother-tongue. That's just me.
