60% off already? Lol.
They failed to market this game. They should have released this game Day 1 on Steam as well, not just on the Ubisoft launcher.

it's over a year old, why would it not be 60% off?

All I'm saying is if they want to attract more players, they should've release the game Day 1 on steam too.

haven't you heard about the sweet deals Epic games was making with publishers for exclusive rights. It's almost too good to pass up, which is why many devs accepted it..

Epic Games gives game studios a much better deal than Steam. Valve takes a massive 30% cut. That's absolutely insane. Selling physical copies of games doesn't get you 30% profits maybe 5-10% at best.

Epic has lower prices because they entered online game market very late and also they provide much less service. They don't even have game forums 6 years after their store launched.
If Steam would disappear they'd raise prices even without providing adequate serivices I'm sure.

epic don't have lower prices, it's same prices

they have lower fee for the pubs/devs per copy sold, not the same thing

Ubisoft wants to grab as many sales as they can for their own platform Connect but they also get a sweet incentive if they put it on Epic Games Store as well. In both cases they win because people rarely buy games on Epic Games Store.

The second benefit for Steam users is they get the version which has being patched and usually comes to Steam at 50% off.

I was surprised too, considering most companies would never put their AAA game on sale this down to 20/30$ this early

THough I commend them for it, I know they are not doing it to "be nice"

They are doing it to reach quotas and htye know they have exhausted all the people who will buy it at full price, so they target the 50% half off buyers then the buyers who will spend no more then 20/30 on a game etc.|

Which is so much smarter and a far cry some silly companies like parafox that release unfinished games and then charge people dlc to complete it..... or rarely do 80% off sales (until recently when Eu4 was like 10 years old and eu5 a year or two away) and keep prices high wondering why they don't get any sales after the initial buyers. So they release more overpriced dlcs. and the cycle continues

I've got it for 15 in their launcher. Good price for mediocre game, how first AC games really been.
