Try setting your FPS to a cap of 90. That helped in my case and the zoom with mousewheel works. Don't ask me why :D

seems unlucky when i get steady 200 otherwise :S

This game runs great doesnt it, and it's beautiful and packed with NPCs. TBH it's kind of an incredible product.

Only thing that worked for me so i could zoom the map was.
Turn V Sync :ON
and
FPS limiter on

not even worth it to have it capped to 90 fps and be able to zoom with wheel

As long as i can run 4K above 60 fps then its ok by me.
Assassins Creed is not a first person shooter.

what's your refresh rate? 60hz with 4k?

90 fps because its set at that so i can zoom in map.

I get that sometimes and I'll just zoom all the way out then back in. I fiddle a little by first going closer to the bottom of map then zoom out and in. I play on PC with a controller btw.

yes, + / - buttons on PC keyboard does the trick... took me some hours to figure.... mouse wheel only zooms out
