Assassin's Creed Mirage

Assassin's Creed Mirage

Statistiche:
Done with Ubisoft
You're done.
There's 2 things that would make me even consider this:
Remove Ubisoft Connect
Remove Denuvo.
Then I would actually MAYBE consider coming back. But as it is now, ubisoft is DONE.

you talk as if ubisoft are the only company to use seperate launchers and denuvo
And start making games for fun, not propaganda for BlackRock money.

Well after Ubisoft shutting down The Crew recently, it is really alarming to buy game with DeNuvo and Connect requirement. Ubisoft showed us that only piracy/mods watch our back, not them. And especially DeNuvo makes it much harder to preserve the game forever, when Ubisoft decides to pull the plug.
Until Ubisoft learns of releasing their games on GOG they're dead to us. Steam is a step in the right direction, but their whole "you don't own anything" just means we won't buy anything either.

EA is dropping the requirement for Dragon Age 4, lol. DA4 also won't have Denuvo.
why "buy" game if not mine?

Nobody will also buy it, so yeah.

Denuvo isn't a problem, its an anti tamper that cost 0 performance. If you buy on steam you don't care about prevervation anyway. The real problem is the broken app Ubiconnect.
Its a junk soft that isn't reliable at all and can really ruin the single player experience.
Of course I care about preservation. I can download all games and most of them will work out of the box in the future offline or with easy crack. DeNuvo will be hard though.

You can thank Commiefornia for the "you don't own anything", it doesn't only apply to Steam.

You think california came up with the idea of licensing software because of some mysterious communist connection? lol, dipsht
tbh unless you download and store all launchers indefinitely , if gog went bust you also wouldnt be able to get those games.

if gog had cheevos in all its games i would get a lot more on it.

Just to clarify here, the California law requires that storefronts be more transparent about it. It's not a new thing, it's always been like that. You're just now (finally) learning about it.

If it helps, EULAs came about because Nintendo sued Blockbuster for photocopying the game manuals for the games they rent out back in 1989. That was the beginning of all that.

Legally speaking, the game code would have always been copyrighted, which is why you get a license and not 'own' a game.

Wat? You can play all gog games without the launcher and download the gamefiles with a dedicated installer to back them up and none of them have any DRM. You can launch Cyberpunk by simply double-clicking the .exe in the folder. No gog, no internet, nothing and it works, as it should.
Their customer service is HORRIBLE! I still have not heard back from them on a ticket from 4 months ago. Laughable!

Exactly. And DeNuvo makes games effectively the exact opposite of this. This is why I don't like it. Not performance, not early piracy, but this. It is timebomb inside content you paid for. It prevents to make any easy compatibility fixes games usually needs when they get old.
