Well, considering the cut price of what the normal price is I'd say it's manipulation fomo for steam. Not a great look.
If they released it at these prices with 10% discount Id say it was kosher, but this is far worse

Players either crying if the game released cheaper or crying if released expensive. Go buy rdr1 14 years old game for 50$. I believe rockstar know their ancient game worth that price, go support them.

It's about the same situation as when they brought other older titles to Steam. I wouldn't expect this deep of discount when Outlaws comes out next month, and probably only a minor discount, if any, when Shadows comes out next year.

This game already released elsewhere before it came to Steam. Of course it was going to have a sale on day one.

Game is actually good, better than anything ubi has released after Odyssey, but even at $24, nope, by principle. Remember to not own our money now, Ubi. Not even at -90%.

The release was 1 year ago.
Being available on Steam is not the release day, AC Mirage was available on 2 PC stores and XBOX, PlayStation, 1 year ago, even on iPhone before coming to Steam.

No, they just release it later here then on other platforms. It´s clever and nice move from Ubisoft. It seems to me that they are trying to be accommodating to gamers because Ubisoft needs to regain trust.
