What if you added different kinds of weapons in the game that could be used by the militaries but they would match with the time period like clubs to bows and arrows during the pre modern era and then evolve towards muskets and modern day artillery!!! That would be so cool.

would rather give them SETS of tech. rather then have them evolve.
that way you can have presets, and allow for modding to explore further options.
