What Types of Guys Do You Normally Go For in Otome Games?

What types of guys or routes do you normally go for? What type do you prefer more? And what types of routes do you find yourself in that you didn't mean to pick?

I usually find myself on the routes with arrogant guys or disdainful ones. I never set out to pick them but I seem to be drawn to them lol. I prefer the charming or intelligent ones the most. But I always seem to get dragged into the routes where the guy treats you like dirt/a peasant/ or unable to make your own decisions. It's vexing! Plus, the guys with dark hair! I prefer them almost %100

Every time I play a game like this, I go for the one that looks/reminds me of my husband; whether it be hobbies or personality or hair/eyes,etc. first.

Then I go for the one who was nicer or who looks unique outside of the others.

I always play the mean guys last, cause I just can't stand mean people.

Aggghhh this question is always so hard to answer because like I usually go for the "heartless" one or the nerdy one. But all of them were just so quirky I didn't know who to go for. >_<

Normally I go for the arrogant ones, mostly because they tend to have depth to them! Of course that depends on the game itself, but the loudest and rudest usually come with a great backstory that captures me. Of course, there are "sweeter" exceptions too, such as Yoosung from Mystic Messenger (if you look away from the Yandere label he received).

I have a skill of getting myself into ALL the routes I don't intend to get orz. I wish it was a lie, but with Ozmafia I always ended up with Kyrie before Caramia; that's just how bad I am at Otome games.

I think it depends. In Amnesia Memories I like Shin's route for his straightforward frankness. Kent Second. Ozmafia I liked Caramia because he was generally likable with Kyrie following second. In Dandelion I liked Jiuen because he was the only one that could challenge the wizard on any real level. In Nameless, Yuri, but probably because he was the default on not really liking any of them. In Nightshade, Goeman, followed by Hanzo, then Gekkamura. Hmm...I don't know...maybe there is a pattern to the characters I tend to like.

I like the stoic guys that get flustered easily, they're nearly always the kindest ones! Other than that the mysterious ones always lure me in too. Lookswise I'm pretty unbothered, but I often find that character design is an easy way to figure out a personality roughly before actually getting into the game proper

Most often, I go for the tsunderes. I just love when the character starts warming up to me, and ends up being super sweet to me, but mean as hell to everyone else.

@Moony haha, now that you mention it, I realise that one of my favourite aspects with tsunderes is being treated special by them! It's weirdly heart-warming to see them prickly towards others but then a real pushover or super warm and cute towards you/player XD Tsuns and any others that have that trait to them always get into my good books XD

I always go after the quiet, mysterious, and mature types but they always end up killing me or scaring the ♥♥♥♥ out of me. I always make bad choices *sighs* But what I always end up liking is something healthy and balanced like Hanzo in Nightshade or Shin and Kent in Amnesia. Appearance-wise white hair or blond hair are instant pick. Plus glasses? Yes plz! I think I'll die lol.

I seem to have a thing for the snarky teasing jerks who are smarter than thou™. Ozmafia's Kyrie, Hakuoki's Kazama... Those are always 10/10.
Also experienced men in general. Love me a man who can take the lead and guide me gently through whatever the plot has to offer.

But in the end I can chew up about anything and everything except the shy/indecisive danderes — prime example being Ozmafia's Axel. Those are a big fat nope. There's only room for one apathethic flop in this relationship and it's already taken by my glorious self.

I like charismatic and trustworthy guys who are friendly in an otome game; but always seem to end up in the route with either :
1) a stoic man with a big heart (which i quite like actually)
2) an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥/secret route/ pain in the ass guy

I personally prefer guys with a cocky attitude and arrogant I don't know why haha

But I also like when they have long hair or accessories :))
