Route recommendations?

Hello, other OZMAFIA!! players~! I just wanted to ask if anyone has route recommendations? For the orders, that is.

I've read one review - that wasn't so favorable for this game - so I know that the brothel bishies have a quite, uh, "vicious" route. So I don't want to start with it, and definitely not save it for the last... And the "married guy" is also another I would want to avoid saving.

I'd like to start with a character, who has a sweet enough route, then play one of the bad ones, a good one, etc. Axel, Caesar and Scarlet seem to be the sweethearts (maybe Caramia?) from what I have understood...

Any ideas? :D

I haven't played through all the characters yet, but Axel is a pretty adorable character and is a pretty safe option for a first playthrough. Actually all the Oz guys are pretty nice in my opinion, so you can’t really go wrong there (although Kyrie can be difficult, he has his own appeal).

I have read that it can be best to save Caesar/Soh for last, but I can't personally comment because I haven't gotten to them yet.

I've only done one route and it's Axel, I'm glad that's the one I went with, you'll leave with a very pleasant taste in your mouth. In fact, talking to this guy will probably make you want something sugary. haha

Just like you I like to keep a balance, so I'm going to try to do a more intense route now, oh god.

Yes, I have heard Axel is quite a sweetheart. I just hope that if I play his route, it doesn't turn out the be one one of the best, and then I might regret playing him already. xD

I thought that Kyrie doesn't actually love the MC but Dorothy, even in the best route...? That's how I understood it from the review so that's why I'm not so keen on playing him.

Caesar appears to be a tsundere, and I just happen to love those types. xD Well, I guess it depends on the spoiler level on the routes...

Aww, now I really feel like playing Axel's route first... But he was so mean when the MC met him (I've really just met all the characters, haha), I didn't know how to feel. So mean. TT_TT

I guess an intense route would the brothel one... And the married bishie. I know a little about the brothel one, but not much about the other. So maybe those?

I've only done one route so far, and I chose Scarlet's route for my first play through.
Both of his ends were sweet, one more so than the other and I really, really enjoyed both.

(Also Scarlet is so adorable~)

I heard he is a kuudere type of character, which is both amusing and annoying at the same time... ^^; But I can't say for sure until I play his route myself. I'll have to go to his route at some point~

Avoid the married guy they said, I ended up going for him unconsciously. I feel like I'm just building up to get my heart ripped out. I can't stop now, I'm too invested.

Haha. xD Well, if you want to play the game you've bought, it makes sense to play all the routes... Even the unpleasant ones. What's what I've heard. ^^; But you're mentally prepared for it, at least. :)

I recommend Caramia's route first.

Brothel should be done as earliest as possible but not first, I can't guarantee if one will like it, Hamelin route spoils some stuff about Robin so do Robin before it.
Imho certain routes are better done in particular order:
Brothel > Robin Hood > Hamelin.
Pashet,Scarlet, Kyrie and Axel can be done before or after the three routes above.


If you have done all of those do Caesar > Soh > Grand Finale.

I went with him first actually, and I don't understand all the complaints? His route was definitely angsty but both the endings weren't bad... I guess it depends on what people are looking for in a story. I get bored of just plain sweet routes so bring on the drama and angst please~

Brothel route is the only one I would say definitely you need to brace yourself for. I'd agree with Lenne for the route order. Also definitely follow a guide...

This is very informative I'm going to take your advice, Robins secret identity got a little spoiled for me because I earned his trading card which clearly shows him revealed, argh! (I'm not complaining about his looks, but still)!

Do all these characters have two routes each? Axel is missing some CGs so I'm assuming so.... Are they bad end variants or still pleasant but just not as "super" great as the other option?

Axel,Caramia and Kyrie have triangle routes the ones you're missing will most likely come from there.

I didn't get that impression when I played it, at least not for Kyrie. Kyrie can be a bit stand-offish, but he comes around somewhat. Personally he wasn't a favourite, but he does have his own charms.

I'm the same way; I'm currently trying to keep that balance. I keep hearing bad things about these brothel boys, so I might suck it up and do them next. All the guys I've done so far have been great and I don't want to be left with a nightmare at the end lol.

wahh seriously thanks for your recommendation!! the silly me would have totally gone for Soh then Caesar just from playing the first few minutes of this game...so glad I chose to take a break and read this ^o^;;;
