Does the game have jumpscares?
It looks like the type of game that has a level where there's jumpscares. Just want to be prepared.

No jumpscares in it, don't worry.

No. It isn't scary. It is very emotional, though. If you don't have feelings, you won't like it.

Thanks for the reply. Heard it was very emotional, which is why I bought it :D

No jump-scares, which was actually something I was worried about during playthrough. Made me feel super uneasy and anxious, but that's the intention! :)

this is a LIE, there is a jumpscare in one of the levels...

There is one level where the screen will suddenly flash and it will make a "pain" sound when you walk to a certain area, but it's no more of a jump scare than any point in, say, Half-Life 2 where you accidentally walk over fire. Other than that, there are no jump scares, and I have no idea what the person above me is talking about.

I just completed the game, and can confirm that there is no jump-scare. Definitely a great experience and an emotional ride.

@takua108
Yeah, I know what level you're talking about.

Another "jump scare" that got a lot of people (including me) is when the theater lights come on; apparently it's extra loud if you're near them like I was.

How about the one where you die and start to float around?

To echo other people in here, there's nothing I would classify as a proper "jump scare", if you're using something like, say, FNAF as a comparison. A few startling moments, but they're minor and not really intended to be fall-out-of-your-seat scary.

There ARE a good few unsettling moments in the game, however. If you're the sort of person who gets nervous or anxious easily (which I'm one of) there are definitely a few points in this game where you'll be actively uncomfortable. But I'm pretty sure those moments are intentionally set up to be that way, and it's much less of a crap-your-pants scary kind of thing than it is just an unnerving one.
Thanks mates!
