Simply put, there are no artifacts given to you that you don't have the stat requirements for no more. In the original, we were blessed to be given artifacts we couldn't equip, in exchange for 100k+ gold.

Fishing so far is HORRIBLE! Up to 40+ seconds waiting for a bite, horrible loot items, but at least we can get perfect fish from Town to permanently change the pet before going to level 1.
Yes thanx.

it's one major reason i dislike this Reawakened version. Slow is just precious time lost, boring, for jobless players who can afford to stay all day playing video games.

That's unfortunate. Dear developers, if you are reading this thread, please consider revising this and putting back the original fishing system, including original fish times and remove the loot level requirements. Don't fix it if it ain't broke.

This is actually a deal-breaker for me, so I'll wait and watch changes in coming months to see what happens. Otherwise the original fate games are still there to enjoy.

Had I known it would be like it currently is, I'd have waited too.

I decided early on to sell the fishing pole and actually go into the dungeon to play the game. It's a horrible fate.

Smart Fate :praisesun:

My Fate today is to stop playing Reawakened until bugs are patched and game seriously improved.

I'am back to original Cursed Kind. If you want to know, playing original give me strong pleasure to play. I don't believe how good this game was and there was no need to buy the remaster.

Thanks

Please make fishing fast, precise visual action like Torchligth 2 and fun.

I'd be happy if it was more like it was in the original games. Don't need to copy a different games fishing, if the fishing in the original wasn't broken.

Like Torchlight 2 don't mean copy Torchlight 2 but fishing system that look accurate like Torchlight 2.

To someone who hasn't played Fate before, the long time between bites in Reawakened might seem fine, but it's almost a dealbreaker for the games as a whole if you've played them in the past (or in my case, very recently). Fishing has always been a decent way to accumulate cash early on, especially if you want to stop using potions and just carry healing charms around, or buy some nicer equipment in the shops, but the often 1+ minute long time per cast makes fishing effectively useless in Reawakened.

Most of my other issues are nitpicks (for example, I'd really like a dialog to pop up when a quest is complete like the old games did, mainly because I play with sound off), but the changes to fishing completely break a key feature of the game.

I'd been in the habit of pulling in the hook and trying again if i didn't get a bite in the first few seconds, already; so that aspect of fishing hasn't changed much for me--except that eliminating the minute plus wait times might be an actual advantage now rather than a placebo to make it feel less tedious. It's no longer possible to avoid or interrupt the checking your hook animation (why is there still a separate stop fishing button?), but it seems to play a lot faster now, so comes out about the same. The lower artifact rate is probably due to there being so many more kinds of items you can catch now. I'd noticed a difference between chapters 1 and 3 (bought on a CD at a store editions) just from all the earring types (why? why? why? why so many when they don't affect your character's appearance or have any intrinsic bonuses?) and now you can catch any type of unenchanted equipment, not just jewelry.

Unless the fishing is rigged to ensure players get the Cheesehead relatively early, in which case maybe you can't catch most artifacts anymore.
