So, it's a game that can only be played in co-op, requires online only, and no friend pass.
This game isn't gonna last that way.

Sadly I bought this thinking it was going to be local co-op for a friend visiting that doesn't have a gaming computer to play online together. I had to refund. Be good to know if Local support is coming in future, I'll probably re-buy it if it does.

Sorry to hear that, we plan to add it to local co-op in future updates. But I can't give you an exact time.
