Personally, I'd love to see some more banners, spells, and oracle options that you can unlock later. It doesn't have to be anything fancy; things like a "+X spell power shadow tower" banner or a spell that permanently reduces block or armor could allow for some interesting build diversity.
1) The 2 strongest single target towers ignore barrier, so you can't make them into barrier killers by pumping their barrier damage. If barrier enemies had very little HP it would make it a lot easier to dedicate barrier ignoring towers to killing them without breaking the barrier
2) Arrow tower wants to bleed, mortar wants to burn, tornados scale with missing health and stop when they hit a barrier, shadow scales off killing things. None of these are good for breaking barriers
3) continuing from 2, mortar don't put their fire down unless they hit the ground and one of their cards causes you to lose control making it impossible to make them target stuff away from a barrier
4) there is no control over getting +barrier damage tiles. I've had maps that didn't spawn any
5) there is one relic to help with barriers and it's just a 10x boost to one tower one time. Would be a shame if it got randomly destroyed on 25...
6) number 5 only works if your build is using, well, arrow towers. Maybe shadow as well. Mortar and tornado are aoe towers and have bad single target damage
7) there is basically one spell to reliably kill them, which is a decision you make before barriers even arrive
8) there is 0 meta progression around tower strength, so it isn't even an option to preemptively built towers to deal with barriers outside of pumping gold
9) there is no research to deal with barriers, only accuracy and block
Great feedback - addresses some important points and yes currently it does require the important installation of barrier killers in some cases. How inconvenient that is varies from build to build. We should definitely take another look, yes. But there is a glimmer of hope for 9, there is a research that also helps there: “Doubles the effect of Upgrades for Accuracy / Penetration / Barrier Damage.” - Otherwise, Icy Death also helps well. But the topic is in view - thanks again.
