What is Hydra/Trinity?

Hydra fusion banner for Volcano Mortar / Runstone gives Trinity which says

> Trinity is applied to Volcano Mortar. This reduces the Fire Rate, but adjusts the Damage transferred by Trinity with a multiplier.

> Trinity: 3 different enemies attacking beams, less Damage.

This seriously confuses me.

My Volcano Mortars aren't shooting beams.

what does "Damage transferred by Trinity" mean?

What does this upgrade do?

I found this confusing as well, especially as I hadn't even taken the trinity banner. Doesn't the banner roughly divide your damage in 3 with a small boost? Wouldn't this just reduce your mortar damage?

okay, so it doesn't do anything to Volcano Mortar?

or does it make it so Volcano Mortar also send its power to other Volcano Mortars?

or does it do nothing unless you also have Trinity banner unlocked for the Runestone tower and also have Runestone towers near Volcano Mortars?

okay, are you talking about the *Prism* banner? the one that lets Runestone towers send power to other Runestone towers?

OH! Trinity is the banner that splits Runestone to 3 beams.

I totally forgot it exists because I Banish or skip it 100% of the time since it defeats the entire purpose of Runestone tower. I think it's probably one of the weakest Banners in the game, but I welcome any info to the contrary

Yes Hydra without Trinity before simply triples the damage (can still be strong because more burn is applied OR because crescendo almost always triggers OR because supernova triggers more often) -> trinity also has several advantages for the runestone alone because focus rune can work on multiple targets at the same time (also helpful for 2-3 fusions in the same way)

well that's interesting! i would not have thought that since it specifies that you can only transfer to one other specific tower. that's pretty neat

I Still dont get it, my Volcano Towers lost 50% Dmg and got 0,05 atk speed...

Thats not really a fair exchange i would say Oo

Maybe with 100% more Speed... but 0,05 is like 30%... ?!

I mean its a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fusion banner... and if it only works with upgraded Trinity banner... thats a way to much prerequisition for my taste..

I have to agree. plus I really like Runestone towers specifically for their single-target damage so I'm unlikely to want Trinity ever
