Cannot change key bindings "Are you kidding me!"

WHY do they freaking do this! I have never played using default keys, even since the days of quake! I have been using my own control setup for 12-14 years. They cant expect everyone to just be brain dead clones where everyone is the same.. They let us customize all of the Crysis games and Far Cry but they couldnt let us be able to change the key bindings for Ryse? I can not even play this game now and it really upsets me. I guess I will have to look for a 3rd party solution, try and get my controller to work or wait and see if they ever give us an update that will allow us to change the keys "I doubt that will ever happpen". Sigh.. I have waited a very long time to play this game and was very excited for today. Now I cant play it. Man Im so pissed right now you have no idea.

Damn! is that the case, cause that really sucks. Im currently installing the game now. I now know what to look forward too. I never play with default keys either so its going to be hard to get use to controls and probably wont be as enjoyable to play.

Im suprised no one else has mentioned this yet in the community hub discussion or maybe they have but i didnt see it :S

Well I ended up using my controller. I do not like using a gamepad for the most part "racing games are an exception" but in this game its actually not that bad because this game is totally made for a gamepad... It cracks me up how easy the combat has been made for console versions. Like Autoaim for throwing spears with the gamepad LOL! Some of the things Crytek did with this game has me scratching my head and wondering what in the heck were they thinking! I do still like the game even though some of the combat is so simple a blind person could do it "literally". Its going to take me awhile to get used using a gamepad as I get confused and push the wrong buttons sometimes. Its been a really long time since I've had to use one since 99% of games let you change the keys. I mean really Crytek, if I wanted to use a controller for my games I would buy a freaking PS4.. Lucky for me, at least they let me invert the camera.

AutoHotkeys will help you. Still, it sucks and you should leave a negative review on the store page to warn off others.

This day in age, pretty ridiculous having to use 3rd party software in order to rebind keys... Unacceptable, specially from Crytek. I am disabled so certain keys are harder for me to use, least they have an Arrow Key preset. Please update the game with proper options. until then, AutoHotkey.

Just bought this game only to discover no key bidding...WTF really are you kidding. Its stupid stuff like this from closed door game producers that makes me enjoy StarCitizen and CIG so much more.

I always change my key bindings, too. Just found out I can't :( This REALLY sucks! Wasted money buying a game I can't play.

I really need to start checking if I can rebind keys before I buy a game....
And then stop buying games from developers that flourish stupidity like this.

If you guys are really stuck try the program autohotkey, plenty of tutorials and premade scripts downloadable, it sucks that we have to resort to using it but at least there's the option. If you download and stuck post a comment on my steam page and I'll contact you and I'll write you a script for whatever keys you want rebound.

Yes this very topic has been bain for all non-default players, if you have a programmable mouse and/or KB that help's, also there is some sort of app you can download and reconfig that way. The controller works better in some chapters but be advised all 3 (KB n M, n controller) will take a beating by games end.
