Anybody know how to make the cutscenes skippable?
Seriously, this game and Metal Gear Solid are the only games I can think of that force you to watch 5 minute + cutscenes. Is there something in the .ini I can edit to not have to watch these every time?

Try going into your \Steam\steamapps\common\Ryse Son of Rome\GameRyse folder and renaming all the Videos-partx.pak files to something else. That may do it.

^ WTF? Why skip the cutscenes? Are you serious? What's the point of even playing a video game if you skip the cutscenes for the first time.

Some people are just like this, and ill never understand why! Especially with a game like this which is more centered on the story/cutscenes (in a way). It can really make you cringe at the fact people would do this but ahwell, each to their own.
I'll be the first to admit it's a matter of preference. The real sticking point is simply that they're unskippable. To me, that's annoying. And I'm all about the many great stories contained in video games, but Crytek is known for their technical prowess, not the gripping stories of their games.

Well you are right there haha
Seriously it's beyond stupid that they're not skippable. They're awful

They are annoying second time around, that's for sure.

If it doesn't, I wonder if someone could just make copies of the shortest one to dull the pain?

I'm doing the same. Replaying on Legendary difficulty. Writing this on Chapter 1 cutscene.

Thanks for the help by the way!

You can skip them pressing space... lol -_-
They must have patched that in since I first wrote this when it was released, because back then there was nothing that could be done except sit there and just take a Crytek story to the face. Not fun. Glad they added that option.
