Just so you know, "How Long to Beat" refers to a website that tells you the average length a game takes to beat if you blast through only the story, or if you also do side missions/quests. I must say, being rude for no reason was a very nice touch.

Now for an ontopic post. After seeing the website listing, and reading some reviews on here, it seems to fall in the 7-8 hour length, so, sadly, it seems the game is really short. But, at least in the US, GameStop has it listed for $10 right now. So, if you're in the US, you can just get a download key from there for half the price of the steam sale.

6-7 hours is bad for you? lads, for today's standards that is A LOT. especially since this is a very linear game

I guess the question really is - is it worth the price for an 8 hour game? The Darkness II was only about 8 hours, but the story and gameplay were so great I felt it was worth a lot more than I paid. So I'll gladly plop down $10 for an 8 hour game, as long as those 8 hours are really well done. Can anybody speak to that?

hmm well about that you may be right. i dont know myself, coz i was never interested in this game as it was a peasant exclusive, and then i heard it was a horrible port. if the game's good, ill buy it. need to look up the tests, and gameplay

And you don't own this game so I don't see how you could give a valid answer anyway.

The story is said to take approx 6-7 hours of gameplay to complete, but it really all depends on you. You can always replay on higher difficulty settings, and there's also multiplayer as well.

your English is fine (though you really didn't say all that much), he's just a troll.

yes, +1

thousands of kids pay 40 bucks each year for CoDs and BFs that just change their annual number and are done in 4 hours. ah, forgot the amazing cheater deluxe multiplayers with hundreds of hours of fun in those aaa- shooters .)

Well, I finished the story in 5.4 hours acording to steam. I don't really do multiplayer so there might be some extra value in there, but for me -- the game is over when I finish the story, unless of course there is character building.

I'd rather play a great 6 hour game than 10+ hour game with tons of filler sections.

How long to beat is the name of a website dumbass.

This is essentially CoD in Roman style. The campaign had a chance to give the players the possibility of exploring Rome more, but the developers decided it should be a linear adventure. A shame really.

The multiplayer is limited to a 2-player co-op mode only. It has greatly diminished the replayability to be honest.

I know this is an old thread, I loved the story from this game so much, I never purchase linear games, but this one was to good for me.

I beat it my first time in 6 hours,
I just recently beat the campaign again, in about 4 and a half hours because I had a better idea of what to do

Also there is about little to no one playing on multiplayer, so if you get it to play multiplayer, have fun waiting maybe half an hour-2 hours for a small match. I've yet to play multiplayer on this game....
