AMD low FPS fix
Hey guys I just got the game as I completely forgot it existed, as back in the time I had PC which couldn't play it.

As soon as I started it, it had limited FPS to 60 FPS or sometimes even 52 with stutters.

For me what sorted it was turning on Radeon chill and I limited it to 200FPS.

I don't understand why but it worked...

The game in general does not react good to certain conditions. The Crytek Engine 3 just s*cks.

With Nvidia I had the Windows Timer Resultion Issue and needed to run something like the EA App in the background to force the WTR to go to 1ms, else I got stutters like crazy.

You can do the same by forcing the game to aks for the high latency mode itself by altering the config file:

1) Go to <path-to-game>.
2) Open system.cfg in a text editor.
3) Add sys_highrestimer=1 to enable the high resolution system timer.
4) Save the file.

Now with AMD (7900 XTX) I only get over 60 FPS by ACTIVATING VSync, but DEACTIVATING fixed FPS. Totally weird. But I remember having this issue in other games as well (it is not Nvidia related).

Also the game messed resolution at the beginning (1980x1200 on a 4K screen, windowed mode but fullscreen). Needed to switch multiple times forth and back, restart game once more, to foce it to fullscreen 4K.

Looks like the engine is just a little bit outdated and needs some serious punches in the face to work like it should :)

Only auto-HDR works nicely from the beginning.

Thank you! Can't tell how many times and fixes I've tried. But this simple thing made it run like butter!

thanks for the tip, before the game would stutter like crazy even though adrenaline would report like 100+ fps on average. Running this on an RX 6800 btw. Not there is little to no stutter or frame drops on the highest settings
