Low FPS on RTX 3070
hey boiz, im trying to finish ryse cause i never did and the game is fun :D what ISNT fun however is the performance. Im not sure if its because im running on the 3070 and it hasent been optimized for it yet or what. But I am running at the highest settings on everything -motion blur. Turn motionblur tf off, its nasty lol. I have a 3700x and an RTX 3070 Anyone got any ideas why i am only getting about 30-60 fps? It varies between 30 and 60 but never goes past it and I dont know why. It is unplayable with the current performance im getting PLS HELP ME FIX IT :D Welcome to all ideas!

I'm not surprised I have noted this has a issue related to the queued frames. I am unsure of exactly why this game has this issue. So no it isn't a issue from what I can tell specifically with one gpu line or drivers for that matter, as I have tested on both amd and nvidia and noted the same issue's your experiencing. The only solution I found that worked was nvidia as the drivers support low latency mode, specifically ultra was the one I found works. The setting can be found in Nvidia Control Panel, Manage 3D settings. I would definitely recommend giving this a try and see if you have improved results.

Maybe turn off vsync?

I just reinstalled the game and experienced bad performance, turns out it is was a Vsync issue. I turned off in-game V-sync, and in Nvidia Control Panel I turned it on, set a max frame rate to 60 (in your case I guess 144), and turned on triple buffering (not sure yet if the latter is needed). Smooth gameplay since.

I know its a 3070 but the supersampling option might be pushing your GPU.

dude...it is using 10% of my gpu...

Yep this fixed it for me, now getting 90fps at 4k with a 1080ti as opposed to 55. Thanks.

I am having the same issue with RTX 3080... oscilating between 30~ - 60~ frames. Tryed to run it with origin open in the background, tryed vsync, nothing is working.

The origin trick had stopped working for me too.
Have you tried Jareds solution? make sure it's on a Ryse profile and not global just to be sure.
Almost doubled my fps.

Surprised no one posted this: https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Ryse:_Son_of_Rome#Low.2Finconsistent_framerate

Followed that to the letter and I went from 60-45 fps with massive drops and stuttering to constant 90-100 stable.

Regards!
