Chief Minotaur Glott - HELP NEEDED!

So I'm having the most difficult time trying to beat this dude. I've watched numerous youtube instructional videos and have tried the combination of tips (block early and attack but then odge/roll and hit in back later) but ultimately once I get about half his health down, no matter what I do, I can't get a hit in. Nor can I block or dodge his hits at that points with the exception of simply running away.

Any other guidnace on how to beat the guy? Is there a way to simply skip him and move on in the game? Loving this game but getting frustrated as this guy seems impossible.

If you scroll down to comments you can find this about right mouse button instead of space and shift. I'll just copy here that.

+marcel dingler hi. Thanks for like, just simply click space and shift very fast, im sorry this video is little bit old and i cant remember shift or space was working. Just try both. If both doesnt work, try your right mouse button.

Holy thank you it was right mouse button. And i tryed like 20 times shift and space.

I played this game long time ago, so can't confirm from my own experinece what were the correct keys. I know for sure I didn't have any problems with that boss fight. I hope you'll get this right.

EDIT: You are not supposed to block him until you come to one sequence of a fight. And there is no way to skip that boss fight to progress further.
