NextFest demo feedback
Since writing a review for an embedded demo on Steam is impossible, you can write it here.

I'm interested to know what you think about the game.

I will write down most of the suggested items for future prioritization. I will add them to the list even if they were already on my agenda.

Onboarding:
❐ a better tutorial section
❐ a better explanation of Androids vs Mercenaries (programmable vs not)

Gameplay:
❐ more vessels per squad during the end-game (?)

UX/UI:
❐ display the arrival time to the planet
❐ zoom out on the map screen

Modes/content:
❐ a PvP multiplayer mode
❐ implement evil/good alignment related features (there are traits, but no effects)

Settings:
❐ windowed mode

Looks interesting, I like the possibility to customize the ships. The tutorial was not much even though I selected to have the tutorial on (at least I thought so). Will definitivly try again, as now I know some more things.
What I miss is a windowed mode, as I like to keep an eye on other things on my computer while playing.
Ship building is the most interesting part for me rn. Designing ships and manage pilots traits so they work best with ships given for them is interesting. Seeing them perform in battles worth the effort. Would like to see more massive battles for the late game, like having more than 4 hangars for the truly epic fights. Upgrading the flagship for this purposes would be great. Looking forward to figure out how to progman androids so i can create most effective units!

Man, this game is deep. I mean, when you are starting to think that you finally understand how to play the game and even can construct new working ship from scratch, then you notice something new, like flagman thing or you can really programming your weapon to actually make it better (i suppose, i didn't fully get it yet :P). Still, feels like you don't really need to use all of this to play the game and anyway be kinda successful.

But i hope to see some multiplayer stuff. I guess it could be interesting to compete in making best programmed ship. Not sure how this mode should look tho

P.S. Music is catchy btw

So, a few games in I thought I share some more thoughts:
There are some things that could (should) be better explained, like what those "purely behavioral traits" are and what exactly the bridges' programmes are for when you still have a pilot who does things like they want. And what about "good/evil aligned"?
Planets should give a traveltime on mouseover like other waypoints do, that would make for better planning.
You should be able to zoom out to get a better overview.

I'm not sure what to make of it, but while the demo is active, there is also a console window which shows lots of lines like "engine/burnout: the sum of costs is not 1 (0.900000)" that somehow look like error messages to me. After that the settings are loaded, followed by a list of planet types and progresses.

Other topic: when I enter the software panel, there is a debugging interface. Because there are no tooltips on mouseover, I only found out that the first button is to reset to the start of the simulation while the second toggles pause. The third and the fourth seemingly dont do anything, the third is deactivated when the simulation is not paused. While the simulation is running there is unfortunately nothing happening on the programming side, so I don't know exactly how this simulation can help much with debugging. It shows the effects of the software, but you don't see what exactly is going on. It would be helpful if for example the status of the flags would get visualized.

Oh, and it would be nice to have a button in the game screen to open the menue in addition to the pressing of ESC.

edit: found a bug: the function Weapon Fire Arc you get with the Angle Processing Kit has a display Error in its tooltip.
