Stronghold Crusader: Definitive Edition

Stronghold Crusader: Definitive Edition

explain the difference between Arabic archers and European archers in game please
There isn't a huge difference between both of them but especially if you aren't the sort of person to go watch 15 minute strategy videos that explain minor mechanics it's impossible to understand the difference.

Considering there is already a codex in the game, I think it would behoove the devs to tweak it just slightly and add in "hey by the way compared to European archers these guys..."

Kinda silly to come to a discussion tab and not have a discussion.

European Archers: Less HP, Slower Fire-rate, More Cost Efficient (faster to build and recruit).
Arabic Archers: More HP, Faster Fire-rate, Less Cost Efficient (Double the gold cost to a Euro Archer).

If you're on a budget, use Europeans, as wood is cheap and trivial to acquire, and they're like 12 gold to recruit. Arabians are stronger in every way except cost. Buy them if you have extra gold or want archers and not Crossbowmen.

"It's silly to discuss it here..." End of conversation, if you want to call it that. Again, the discussion tab is where you are. Not reading any of the rest.

Ironically, you put more effort into sounding like a slob than being helping.

European archers have range, significantly cheaper, but need weapons.

Arabian archers are easy to field, good range if not slightly inferior, and don't need weapons. Pricey af tho. If I have the money, I use them to harass.

"Why can't you harass with euro archers?" Well, bows take up armory space. Sometimes, I won't have a 30 armory space. Ultimately, mounted archers are the better harassers.

I'm not asking for my own knowledge, I am saying this game should explain itself better. People shouldn't have to come to the forums to ask questions like these. The game describes how crossbowmen for example differ from archers wonderfully: slow to move, slow to reload, shorter range, armor penetrating

New players reading this instantly know crossbows counter armored units, but would be a poor response to a large slave rush; this exact same principle should be added to the arabic archers

Lmfao, funny enough: They're actually doing some effort at explaining SOME of the stuff. It needs work for newbies, but definitely they've added some extra tooltips. They're not enough, I agree.
