You are very welcome. Thank you for your support. I am so glad you're having fun and that the game is running great for you. :)
I'm unable to play DoE as the game crashes before starting the first quest (Old Farmhouse). Frogdice say:
"It would appear that there is some kind of Unity issue with certain very
specific distros and configs of Linux that we are unable to address with
our code."
An unhelpful and vague response to say the least. If it's only on specific distros and configurations how about sharing those details so we might have the chance to change the configuration at least, or know which distros to avoid installing on?
TL:DR
I've paid for a game that I cannot play and essentially get no support from the developers except for what feels like a stock email reply.
Please tell us what distro and hardware your using. And also launch steam from a terminal and try play the game so we can see if any helpful information is printed.
Hopefully armed with that info we can sort it out.
This is what the terminal says when I start it.

Any tips?
Yesterday I've been googling about this error and saw other steam games having the same problem.
I apply some of the tips I found but it didnt work either.
Today (without rebooting) I started the game from the desktop shortcut and it worked.
Also tried from steam library and it worked too.
Unfortunately I cant be sure of what solved the problem.
Thanks anyway.
You likely need to tweak something on your end that we cannot control or account for.
This thread is a good start for getting help with that from other linux users.
