Pink hearts vs Purple hearts?

Are pink hearts worth more %s than the purple hearts, or vice versa?

I don't think the purple hearts give anything, as in, they were bad choices - the negative sound that plays along with the purple hearts flowing down should be hinting at a loss of affection rather than gaining any.

when i watched Asmongold's play, some of the girls had no affection increase at the end of the chapter because he kept choosing purple heart/no reaction options for them,

oh! I kept remembering other games where there were red and purple/black, and the first was love, and the second was lust.
