How can I make the timers longer?

Hi, as I'm sure you're all aware, the timers on this game are ridiculous, I can't even get from my starting point to the first stop without going over time! To try and get decent time management, you have to drive like a lunatic and that takes away from the realism of taking it slow and making sure you don't hit anything.

Is there a way that I can edit some of the games files to make the timers longer?

Although , being overtime only decreases the time bonus you get

So I'm just like alright cuz yeah

About the save file thing maybe somebody else can say smth

I don't know if this will help y'all but helped me, cap this game to 30 or 60 fps either in game or graphics drivers, this game was designed to run on older hardware so there might be timing errors running on uncapped on modern hardware

like maybe we or i or one of us could make a mod to add like, 10-20-30 sec etc to the time, depending on map length , usual traffic conditions etc

so it would still be tight, but , not almost impossible

I don't think so. The game is literally one base.scs file. It don't have mods folder. If you want to modify (hack) something and share it, you have to share the whole game.

If someone is still here, and interested, i know how to do it :D. First you have to find the game in winrar. After you find the game, go in this order. base.scs>def>route>schoolbus2.sii. (Open it in notepad). Pay attention, because from here, it gets tricky! Lets say i want to add an extra 10 seconds for the first stop, and the entire level aswell. So you want to find this "driving_times[0]:" This is the timer for the first stop. (this is the 36th row, if you dont find it) normally its 20 seconds. All you have to do, is change that number to 30. After that, you have to go back to the 8th row in the same notepad. You will see this "time_limit:" This time limit indicates, how many seconds you have to complete the entire level. In order to everything work properly, and the extra time we added to the first stop, actually be in the game, you have to add an extra 10 seconds to that time aswell. So it should look like this: "time limit: 111". Save it, and start the game. Congratulations, you added an extra 10 seconds for the first stop of the first level, and an extra 10 second for the entire level :D.
