http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Series:Call_of_Juarez
I went to http://www.wsgf.org/dr/call-juarez and used the files for "Ultra/Super-Wide (21:9/32:9) Specific Solution & Issues" and Without black bars. So the file name is Call_of_Juarez_21_9_WOBB.7z and dropped its contents in the game folder replacing files as they instruct. I used the wide screen for 3440 x 1440 and it made the FOV appear better than it was when I didnt have the wide screen files.
In the above link there are some FOV files too but couldnt get the 3440 x 1440 resolution with them but still need to play around with the options on that site.
Some other ideas I have been trying are...
I went to C:\Users\{user}\Documents\call of juarez\out\Settings\Video.scr and opened it up in notepad++ and changed the Video.scr file to add ForcedHorzFov(120) at the very bottom but it just crashes the game so that didnt work.
Next I went to C:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Call of Juarez\code.pak and opened it up with winrar. Then extracted the Camera.class and then used the dirty JOE java editor to look at the various parts of it. If you go to the Constant Pool tab there are several thatt say SetFOV but thats as far as I got and havent been able to figure out how to adjust the FOV.
I read how to do what I did with the .pak file at this link:
http://www.wsgf.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=61&t=25758
Anyway if you are able to figure out how to get widescreen 1440 x 3440 and increase FOV to 120 that is my goal and would be so happy. Thanks.
