This is what just happened:
- Deathmatch game ended
- New one was started immediately without returning to lobby
- Two upper screens were "stuck", one of those screens being me
- I couldn't see anything I was doing, but judging by the sounds, I was still "playing"
- Whenever someone killed me, the camera switched to show my ragdoll, then switched back where it was stuck
I think this might have something to do with players leaving when the match ended/restarted?
Sorry I couldn't get a screenshot. Will take one if it happens again. This is now the second time it has happened, I got the game yesterday.
The ceiling part is intentional, right? Just the fact that they don't move. It's already hard enough when they aren't moving haha
I was starting a full 8 player game from the lobby, then one player left during the countdown, leaving me unable to do anything except type in the chat. I had to restart the game.
I can post a screenshot if needed, but all that it will show is the same unrecognised controller screen as anyone else might get (as far as I know). Also, I'd rather not change my keyboard/mouse controls because I don't have full mobility in one hand and the mouse's multi-button convenience is helpful with the layout I've been using for a year with no problems.
Anyways, I thought that it was just an annoyance having the notification and I ignored it. As I discovered while trying to play in a match, using one of the side buttons on my mouse to talk via Teamspeak (push-to-talk), every time I depressed the button it behaved like hitting 'Esc' on my keyboard and brought up the pause menu. I had to either release the button or click the resume button to continue playing (in no particular order; releasing the mouse button after leaving the menu did nothing). Several minutes of this frustrating and unwanted pausing later, I left the lobby after the match ended to try and discern what was really going on. While in the menu, I discovered that the mouse-side button that had earlier been pausing the game was now instead selecting menu options like clicking or hitting 'enter' would. Once the brief confusion passed, I left the game to see if external tweaks could solve the problem. Still at this step.
As I stated above, I can't really use a keyboard key for the push-to-talk because of limited mobility, so I may just resort to non-'push-to-talk' methods of talking to people while playing Screencheat so as to avoid the problem entirely.
Whatever relevence it has to this bug report, I also don't own a proper console-type controller to substitute and swapping mice seems like unnecessary effort for a single game I don't plan to play often.
Any help that can be offered would be great, in the meantime I'll be fidgeting with button mapping and such to prevent any other programs from having problems.
Another freezed screen bug.. This happened when a match was starting. Probably because one player left.
I cannot configure the right axis: when Screencheat tells me to move it I do and nothing happens. Also, I can configure the trigger, but in game it doesn't work.
The gamepad works just fine with different games (like Portal 2 or Monaco).
Is there anything I can do to help to debug this issue?
Help?
Lots and lots of defaults

Players: 6
Cause: One player disconnected, re-joined, and disconnected again.
Result: Screen froze for everyone with player names.
Now, first I have to disable xinput to make the game recognize my two controllers at the same time. And when xinput is disabled, I can only rebind my pc controller (shown as "b controller" ingame) from scratch as an unknown device, leaving the PS2 controller unable to rebind (I guess this would be "a controller"). This causes to get controls inverted (A as Y, B as X, RB as start and such) and camera moving like crazy during matches.
Keyboard is still working like a charm but it would be nice to be able to configure my controllers as before.
Any thoughts on this?
Thanks in advance and sorry for the long post.
I've had this problem a few times, Revalidating the game may help, but I usually found it a problem with my display drivers
Here's an output log[puu.sh] even though I don't see any symptoms of errors at simple look.
Edit: I got the game to run now. It might had something to do with my controller not being plugged.
I remember I disabled Xinput so the game would detect my controller. I may not have restarted the game after doing this and it was trying to detect it.
I unplugged the controller again and it loaded to the main menu anyways.
